Hi!

Is it possible to download an older version of the nightly builds, which are available on the following page:

I only find the last 8 versions.

No. What are you exactly looking for, and why?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

I've had some problems the last few months with recordings, and I thought exclude that it depends on any change in

OpenPLi, and therefore install an older version that I know worked. I'm looking for a version from December-January.

I have problems with recordings when I recording more than one program at a time. When I playback
the recording so the playback stuck now and then, and the receiver "thinking". Sometimes up to a
minute before it continues the playback.

I have had problems with this in the past 3-4 months. I have never experienced this problem before.
I have two VU+ Duo2, and a Synology NAS.

Could it be due to signal interference or a bad LNB?

I always update my boxes by downloading the latest nightly build on the following page:

Then I flash the box with it, with a USB stick. Then I configure all settings manually.
I make such an update 2-3 times a year, on both boxes. The most recent was a week ago.

If you perform a Picture-In-Picture do you have freeze too? If not then it is not a problem on your installation.

You can also make a test with a local USB HDD or USB stick to record and to playback.

I think that your problem is on the network side in the way you connect to your NAS Share. I read that there was a change in the kernel about share authentication.

I never have problems with playback of MKV files, which is on the same NAS. I never have problems with watching TV. The problem occurs
only on certain recordings, often when I record multiple programs simultaneously. Much like a memory error, because the box needs to "think".

But I'll investigate a while. Next time I get a problem with a recording so I'll try to play it in my computer in VLC, and see if it freezes there too.
I'll be back ...

Problem can be in your Softcam. If you have Oscam, you must configure it.

hi

I have the same problem

you are right to look for an older open version, it works perfectly for multiple registration, the new versions are not able to do activate CCCam for multi recording, and especially for SOLO2

Okay, good to hear that not only I experiencing this problem.

Is it possible that the solution may be to use OSCAM instead?

If so, how should I configure it to work with up to four recordings simultaneously?

I have two VU+ Duo2 with a Quad LNB.

Correction on my post above. Indeed after during/recording zapping on multiple channels give strange results.

I will do some more testing to give a better report (and restoring an older back-up)

Most probably they are using older verion of cccam that requires cpuinfo to display cpu of dm8000 as shown using kernel 2.6

A possible fix is to patch kernel in order to display fake cpu name.

Another fix is to use ld_preload and modify read call of fopen when tries to read cpuinfo.

Now I don't understand anything what you're talking about.  :-)
I use CCCAM V2.3.0-r0.10, if that helps.

2.3 should be ok I guess, older cccam require that fix. So most probably drivers issue :(

Hi again!

Now I have an example of a recording, to share with you.

It can be downloaded here (1.8GB):

The recording should be 35 minutes long (22:00-22:35), but as you can see, it has been only 23 minutes.
As you can see, it seems that the interference in the recording occurs after 20:45.

I also attach all the files that belong to the recording: AP, CUTS, EIT, META, SC
Is it possible, from this example, to determine what the problem is?
