I have an issue with almost every .mp4 file inside bouquets. When selecting the service that points to the http://.../file.mp4, after a short process of buffering that reaches 98%, the box crashes and I have to power reset. The same thing does not occur with newnigma, tunisiasat... images installed on the same machine. It's a codec issue or something else?

In that case there should be a crashlog. Please post it so people won't have to guess what is going wrong.
Mijn schotel is een T90 met 10 LNB's. Daarnaast voor de fun nog een draaibaar systeem met een Triax TD 78.
Dreamboxen heb ik niet meer echt actief. Verder heb ik ook nog een een VU+ duo2 met 500Gb harddisk + een VU+ Uno, Zero, Solo 4K, Ultimo 4K, Zero 4K, Uno 4Kse. + ook nog een Xtrend ET7x00. Daarnaast heb ik ook nog diverse andere modellen w.o. een Formuler F4, ET8500, ET7500, Mut@nt 2400HD, Xsarius Fusion HD se en verder nog wel het e.e.a. waarmee op verzoek vanalles wordt getest. Iemand moet het tenslotte doen. 
Los van de eerder genoemde modellen heb ik nog wel een rits aan testsamples als Mut@nt 2400HD, HD60, GB UE4K, GB Trio4K, Maxitec Multibox combo en Twin, Octagon sf8008, sf8008 mini en last but nog least enkele modellen van het Grieks Duitse Edision.
Voor centrale opslag van media gebruik ik een Qnap 219P met tweemaal 2 Tb harddisks + een Synology DS414 met 12 Tb Totale opslag.

There is no crashlog produced. Before you tell me that I don't know where to look it for. cd /; find -name '*crash*' gives 0 files.

Freezes almost always means bug in driver or kernel (which is unlikely because you're the only one reporting this) or a hardware failure. I suspect the latter. You might want to check if it doesn't get too warm.

It freezes but the spinner still spins. It does not happen only on my box. It plays fine from local disk but not from bouquet.

Just tried several MP4 files en no problems whatsoever on my DM800se. I played them with the movie player like I play a previous recording.

Yes I can login, enigma2 takes 75% of CPU but thats all the info I can get. It works well with media player on NAS. It DOES NOT work well with mp4 in bouquets through http://

I suggest you restart enigma the next time. It's probably a problem in gstreamer, it tends to lose memory over time. Which the dm800se doesn't have in abundance.

I have to power cycle because the box does not responde to the remote control. If I want to continue to use the box I have to power on my laptop, login to the box and issue a reboot command. Power cycling is faster.

Ok it was my fault. Some mp4 files are malformed. Despite they play correctly on desktop PC they do not on OpenPli. Transcoding the mp4 file again in h264 and acc makes the file play great on OpenPli. Sorry for opening the post. Thank you all.
