Is it possible to make a plugin to adjust a rotor i.e East / West

to make a signal stronger for better reception of the satellite, because usals just stops at the coordinates what i gave in my reciever.

But some transponders are weak and with a little help for adjusting the rotor .i can get a better signal ( stronger). now i have to do this in the settings menu. without a screen picture only signal strength. but when i memorized it and return i just loose the transmission and weaker signal again.because the rotor goes back in Original place..

I have just thought of something.

Wouldn't changing this parameter is satellites.xml file help?

You can change the degrees or position of a satellite, but then the channels for that satellite (if you had any) would no longer be connected to anything and would need to be deleted. Everything would work OK once the channels for the old satellite postilion (if any) were deleted and the satellite rescanned.

I find it much easier to use the positioner setup plugin.

You are right, el bandido.

I wonder if it is not possible (using DreamboxEdit or anything else) to restore all the channels (adjust to the offset satellite position) without having to delete them and re-scan.

It might be easier to edit the transponders in lamedb. Doing that should fix the channels I think.
The positioner setup plugin allows me to make adjustments as needed, and that is what i use 99 percent of the time.

It seems that fiddling with lamedb will also change service references (the same as re-scanning at an offset position) so that would break EPG such as XMLTV, so it is probably no way to go.

On your system, do you use different rotor positions for different satellites? Can you explain to me the steps you take to adjust the motor to different positions?

Can you show me what your /etc/enigma2/settings file look like now, please?

I think I will do it all over again but fiirst I would like te reset the rotor and reset my tuner configuration. Is there a good way to reset it and then start all over again?

I solved this problem now.

just to play with the coordinates, but it will be stil nice as if in the signal strength screen  the option to adjust your rotor east/west

would be very nice
