Hi folks,

 

Since gstreamer 1.x support made it to a point where it can be used as a daily driver.

I decided it would be nice to share some images so everyone can give it a spin.

 

All images are all 100% built from source.

 

I'm using the gst-1 build environment (https://github.com/O...core/tree/gst-1) with some minor differences:

- All images ship with christophecvr's multibox dvbmediasink (https://github.com/c...ox-dvbmediasink)

- glibc 2.21 has been downgraded to eglibc 2.19 (to support older kernels)

- I've added some unsupported (oem) receivers to get this to a wider range of people (using recipes from oe-a and help from gjstroom)

- A few small patches have been included against enigma2 (link below):

  * dm500hdv2_dm800sev2_sh1.patch - Support for dm500hdv2, dm800sev2 and Zgemma Star

  * enigma2_dmm_fixes.patch - Fixes ac3/dts bypass and restores black screen on zapping

  * enigma2_oldkernel.patch - A few reverts for older kernels

- Since I'm not hosting a feed-server I've added some extra packages by default:

  * oscam r10937

  * OpenUitzendingGemist

  * python-html, python-pycrypto, python-subprocess (for TSMedia)

 

These have been built today (2015-08-05).

Some notes:

- 'tested' means that the box boots succesfully, nothing more

- I couldn't build the Mut@nt HD500c target because the driver link gives me a 404, someone should update their bsp

- On DM800 only the first boot takes a while, please be patient

- If on Dreambox your remote reacts too fast please do the following:

Go to: menu - system - input devices - dreambox remote control (native)
Set "Change repeat and delay settings" to yes
Set "Interval between keys when repeating:" to 200ms
Press green button (OK)

Do the same for the dreambox advanced remote control

 

 

Please keep in mind that this isn't a support thread for unsupported (oem) receivers.

Use this thread for feedback regarding gstreamer 1.x, eg:

- IPTV / Music streaming

- Media Plugins (like TSMedia)

- Playback of local files

I have a Xtrend ET10000 HD

 

Install is OK. No problem.

 

IPTV with my ISP provider (Freebox TV in France) : OK and NO OK:

 

All channels are OK is I reboot Enigma2 but when I zap each channel come or not come (black Screen).

 

When channel come, it's very good for picture but for the audio ok or not.

 

for each channel, I can have black screen and nothing come if I wait. or I have the channel very good (video and audio) or I have video but no audio. It's is aleatory.

The sound problem comme with AAC audio (info audio: MPEG-AAC undetermined)

 

There are no plugin in this version of OpenPli.

 

so I will continue to test. I thank you very much.

That's the feedback we need.

Maybe you could submit some logging so the devs can have a look.

Use telnet to login into your receiver (if you're on Windows you can use PuTTY for example).

The username is: root

No password is required.

First close enigma2 using this command: init 4

Then run enigma2 manually by this command: enigma2

Try to reproduce the problem and paste the output of the telnet session here.

 

Also tell me which plugins you need and I'll include them in my next build

I'll also CCcam and mgcamd as well.

Publishing images for clone STBS (DM800 sim2 etc) is not a good idea. It is forbidden in OpenPLi forum. You should delete those links from your post.

Apart from that, good job. Now anyone can try gst 1.x images.

I can install the image on the VU + Duo2 without problems.

 

Start the streams thanks to the GStreamer 1.5.1 super fast.

 

In wmv files I get no sound, picture is there.

Does Duo2 uses drivers to play wma (audio part) or you still require ffmpeg to do the transcode part?

If ffmpeg still required, is it installed to image?

However, does VU require special drivers for gst 1.x ?

The only thing I've changed in the meta-vu is the requirement for the dvbmediasink, nothing else.

Special drivers should not be necessary, since I've been using the GStreamer 0.10.36 sound and image in the officially cells PLI Image with wmv files.

Thank you very much for your great efforts. I wished image with Gstreamer 1.0 last week, i got it this week. Great image and great team. I installed image without problem , installed TS panel, Tsmedia, softcam , no problem. i recorded sat channel , iptv channels , no problem. Streaming iptv channels is much faster and more stable than Gstreamer 0.1. streams who works with no problem with vlc and freeze after some minutes with Gstreamer 0.1 works perfectly with this image. i have not tested wmv files. i wil continue test and rapport it. i have one question, the next reales/update is it via software update or flash new image ?

I've just added "ffmpeg" and "gstreamer1.0-libav" hoping that this will automatically get picked up for sound in wmv files
