Media from HDD is no problem.mp3,wav etc is ok, also (audio)DVD.

The commit is only affected to physical audio CD.

With patch applied audio is ok again.

Perhaps it's not affected to all CD/DVD drives?

So a second opinion would be nice.

Your revert just broke again.

Maybe the latest commits will fix audio-cd as well?

I really did my best based on gstreamer 1.xx but well took care to use the real very base linux core stuff at first before.

Using my findings and implementations are indeed working very well by me now . But by a vuduo2(only external dvd cd writer possible) only and only if debug is at 0 then it works 100 % prefect

This commit? Are you sure? It has nothing to do with CD/DVD playback.

Yes.Before the revert, i restart enigma and reboot.

Nothing happen when insert a CD/DVD. Except the drive make some noise and the LED blinking.

I revert that commit, and it all works again.

It looks like Enigma wants to start a plugin, but now it needs a restart.

And yes that would be a never ending story.

No nothing is broken, for external cd/dvd usb drives, But by default the required stuff is not installed and even not build as far I know (at this time not sure about that last one) But If You do wan't to work with external usb dvd/writer on the for example duo2

The base vuxx02.inc needed a modification like :

MACHINE_EXTRA_RRECOMMENDS = " \
	bla bla +
	kernel-module-udf \
	kernel-module-cdrom \
	kernel-module-sr-mod \
"

We'll ask VU+ to modify the bb file. I assume this is also true for the other VU+ models?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
