Thanks Mirakels. With those changes, which are now in git, png thumbnails working for me.
I hope that now you are working on a png display, and you fix it.
It's still not working for me. I can see them in the picture player, but not in my plugin.

On my Vu + DUO2, picon weather no longer displayed.
Plugin yahoo_weather.
When will it be fixed?

Geen wonder... Had slechts een dm7000, maar wel ook een rotor. eigenlijk al een tijdje ook een dm600 en dm7025. Maar nu kijkend met een et9000 en vuduo

then for me 8 bit png images work correctly, as before.
Maybe some of the functions or variables here is needed always, not only when fill blank background?

Prior to that, I'm not interested about picload, so perhaps I have not clearly formulated problem.
The problem is with a 8 bit png images when they completely fill the area and do not need to fill the borders. In this case xoff = yoff = 0 and any change in the borders filling not fixed the problems.
