I was also bothered with the skin not working full screen for our VU+ boxes, and it seems that the developer has stoped updating Cool Tv Guide..

 

With inspiration from Eragon I took all of the screens from the Cool TV guide and rezised them. (Eragon I did not use any of your files). 

 

The method is the same as described in Eragons thread.

 

Use any FTP program and upload the following files to :

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CoolTVGuide/CoolSkin

 

CoolChannelGuide_1280.xml

CoolChannelGuide2_1280.xml

CoolChannelGuide3_1280.xml

CoolEasyGuide_1280.xml

CoolEasyGuide2_1280.xml

CoolEasyGuide3_1280.xml

CoolInfoGuide_1280.xml

CoolMultiGuide_1280.xml

CoolNiceGuide_1280.xml

CoolSearch_1280.xml

CoolSingleGuide_1280.xml

CoolSingleGuide2_1280.xml

CoolSingleGuide3_1280.xml

CoolTinyGuide_1280.xml

CoolTVGuide_1280.xml

CoolTVGuideSetup.xml

 

(All of the above files are included in the Coolskin2.zip)

 

Then you need to upload the following new graphics from file "Cool3d.zip" to:

/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/CoolTVGuide/Cool3D/Menu

CoolFrame.png

CoolFrame2.png

CoolMultiGuide.png

CoolSingleGuide.png

And also these new graphics to:

Afterwards make sure that all new files is set to Permission 644.

Reebot and enjoy fullscreen Cool TV Guide!.

What settings do you use in the setup ? Is there anything special that I would have to be aware of?

sorry forgot to ask; my coolman tv guide plugin is on my usb stick. Does it matter if the folders are uploaded to a location in the usb ?

No special settings, I use the standard with Cool3d active. It should not matter if it is installed on USB, as long as the new files are overwritten over the installed ones.

ask ims to add some screens.... But why do you need this closed source stuff in the first place?

he can made screens himself and then he can place it into own /etc/enigma2/skin_user_PLi-FullHD.xml

It seems like some of the PNG files that I modified were saved in the wrong format, It works on Open Black Hole, but not openPli?

 

Anyhow here are some modified files from Matrix10 http://www.vuplus-co...32/#post-186387

 

That should fix the green screen...

when i try to start cool on the red button it appears for maybe 3 seconds and then disappears it does look in the wrong resolution as it appears in the middle of the screen but much much smaller than it should it's far less than a quarter of the screen with very small writing so it's in the wrong resolution but i don't know how to correct it i have tried different skins but it is the same so somehow that needs to be changed i have looked everywhere but cannot find where i do that.....

I have tried all the settings in setup but to no avail help please..

 

I have done a full software update which a lot better with other thing but getting cool to work appears impossible

VU+ SOLO 2 OpenPLi 4 ver 3.13.5. PLi-FullnightHD Skin.

gmepg = graphical multi epg, press EPG button on your remote

How do I change the font size I am running blackhole 3.0.4A and the displayed font is very small but it is set to the largest possible in teh setup
