XMLTimport (EPGimport) imports 1255 events from Rytec Benelux XMLTV. I have only 18 Belgian channels in Favourites(TV). No EPG data showing!

After installing EPGimportfilter I get 18 channels, 0 mapped.

I'm connected via DVB-C on a local resort network. Is it possible that the channel references are modified by the local cable provider and therefore XMLTVimport doesn't find any matches?

If so, is there a way to alias the channel references?

This is my boucquet file. Channels included are for example eenHD, 2BE HD, Canvas, etc...

I do not have any links in the channels file for a Flemish cable provider. So that is the reason why not EPG is showing up.

You have to tell me which service ref belongs to which channel.

If you provide that information, I will add them.

(And tell me which provider this is - so I can keep some order in the list)

Well I did not read this carefully enough.

This is a local resort network.

They definity have changed something. And looking at the refs given here, this is a TV-headend which got its signal from TV-Vlaanderen.

één HD has at TV-Vlaanderen a ref: 1:0:19:5221:C99:3:EB0000:0:0:0:

2Be HD : 1:0:19:1B90:C88:3:EB0000:0:0:0:

Canvas HD : 1:0:19:5226:C99:3:EB0000:0:0:0:

Compare these with the refs you listed.

Only the namespace is different.

You can try to install Crossepg. And use the bug in crossepg - it does not use the namespace. This might import some data.

When installing Crossepg, do not forget to update the Rytec sources. And import XMLTV files. Not the XEPGDB files since they do not longer exist.

Willy,

Indeed I'm on a local cable network. I'm running today's openPLI image 4 image and tried crossepg on your request but didn't succeed to update Rytec sources. I found a thread about this problem on this forum but couldn't solve the update problem. Any ideas?

Not really.

Except if you really want the EPG, make a temp channels list.

See our faq's on how to do it.

Save the channels list locally and adapt the sources file.

Willy,

I do not quite understand the mechanism. I can put the service refs with the wrong name spaces in a test.channels.xml but what do I have to put in the something.sources.xml file. The channels want be found in the sources?

You need to make channels list like the one attached. (unzip the file)

But with your service refs.

Copy this file to the /etc/epgimport/ folder on your box (as own.channels.xml)

Modify the rytec.sources file (in /etc/epgimport/)

Search for:

Rytec Benelux XMLTV

Modify this in:

Rytec Benelux XMLTV

Save and try an import

Willy,

I made a sources file and a channel file with my service refs. EPG now works.

So if I understand well you do not use the service ref as a key to find the EPG data in the databases but the channel names.

Thanks for the great support,

Stan

1:0:19:1B90:C88:3:EB0000:0:0:0:

The channel name is only to make everything human readable. This part:

The service ref is the channel in the receiver.

The channel id is the name I gave to the actual data. This name is of course based on the channel name.

But for clarity reasons I have added the country code.

f.i. History is broadcasted in many different countries, but it can have a different schedule in these countries. So there are History.de, History.fr, History.uk etc... channels.

There are some more rules I respect when giving these names. Like no accents, no special characters and others.
