I dont think your fix is my problem as I'm not getting as far as where your exception was thrown.

I'm not sure what you mean.

 

Do you mean send over the Rytec source files again because I did try that twice,just in case.

I have found something that may or may not be related. The url of the rytec sources file has been changed a few days ago. The URL was pointing to a page that contained a frameset reference to yet another URL. For at least the OE-fetcher this didn't work. I retrieved the final URL and then it does work, so now at least the images can build again. Maybe this plugin also refers to the (broken) URL. Because of the timeframe, this may very well be related. I don't think my commit of today will fix this issue though.

But as it is now does not work (/hdd/epg.dat).

I checked it,download epg.dat from the Internet.

Although be replaced by config.misc.epgcache_filename.value or simply /media/hdd/epg.dat

On my vu ultimo, epgimport starters never finish since 3/4 days.
I use french xmltv rytec configuration and automatic un date everyday.

I reflashed my box this morning but still no download, epgimport show :
Importing Rytec France XMLTV
0 events

In my enigma2 epg configuration, I just checked EPG EIT to yes, all other are set to no.

On my ET7500 and ET6500, epgimport works fine.

Can you tell what is the situation on vu boxes?

Correction :

 

1) I USB flashed with last version available from download my ET6500 and now I have the same problem with no event loaded (French import) as for my Vu Ultimo.

 

2) I upgraded my ET7500 using menu/parameters/update menu. When trying to update again I got two errors according to dependancy error but EPGimport is working fine. If needed I can update it using USB flash to check, just let me know.

It is being looked at, for some reason it doesn't work on the VU+ but other models have less problems...

My VU have no problems only one of the servers (vuplus-community.net) in the sources is slow and it take a while before import start's.

My rytec.sources.xml (attached) seems to be the same (ET6500/ET7500/VU ULTIMO). Only the ET7500 works as I described before.

 

All mMy boxes use French as language and try to import Franch EPG.

 

I tried automatic update with both ET6500 and VU Ultimo, all are locked on EPG Import in progress (I cannot do a manual import) and 0 events loaded. The only way to kill EPG Import is to reboot GUI.

 

At next automatic import, the problem come again.

 

For the moment, I copy epg.dat file from ET7500 to others ones after init 4 command, not the easy way...

No, it's the import itself that seems to cause the problem, if you check the logs it downloads fine, perhaps something in a file that causes the plugin to choke.

 

We're looking into it, problem is reproducing the problem, I don't have it anymore on my boxes since the last update of a few days ago, but I don't have a VU+ running atm...

This morning the import works in my ET6500 but it is still locked when parsing on my vu ultimo.

I home it can be fixed

My Vu+ solo2 behaves the same, after egnima restart i can start manualy.

You all can help. Stop enigma (init 4), run enigma manually (enigma2) and observe the log during an import. There might be interesting messages, please post them here.

Hi after flashing the vu+ , the epgimport no longer work. I get an error when manually starting the import.

Already tried everything what has been said in this post.

Here is the log of the epgimport
