I just remarked a problem with deactiving and activating timers:

Due to timer conflicts I had one deactivated timer and two activated timers (all the three timers start at the same time):

timer1 activated

timer2 activated

timer3 deactivated

Since I wanted timer3 to record I deactivated timer2 and activated timer3.

In timer list I got the following correctly:

timer1 activated

timer2 deactivated

timer3 activated

After start time the following occured:

timer1 shown in timer list as running (ok) and recording (ok)

timer2 shown in timer list as deactivated (ok), but recording (not ok)

timer3 shown in timer list as waiting (not ok) and NOT recording (not ok)

Hope I explained it in a understandable manner.

You disable/enable timers  in menu conflicts?

These are all autotimers, so I changed them directly in the timer list by firstly activating timer3 and then deactivating timer2 in the list of all conflicting timers. If this is the (new and much better looking) menu conflicts, then yes...

To me it seems that there is a cache which was not updated.

Hope so... I need this badly because I have a lot of autotimers that need to be reviewed and changed manually. Will it be available tomorrow evening? Thank you once again for your fast support...

May it be a workaround to restart the GUI?

Dimitrij,

not sure if you made any other changes lately, after the "ignore conflict detection" but I'm inclined to agree that things aren't working well any more.

I used to have at least 10-15 conflicts every week where autotimer created disabled timers, which I then had to manage manually using the conflict detection GUI.

nowadays I have none ? even when I go into a timer and save it, I'm not getting any conflict detection, whereas "conflict detection" is set to "yes" for all my timers.

and when I activate the dreambox I sometimes get the message "conflicting timers found, timer bla-bla has been disabled" but when I look into the timer list, no timers are disabled

it looks as if the conflict detection isn't working any more (the "global" switch is also set to "yes" of course) !

As far I can see when you have a fallback tuner the autotimer now ignores... I think this should be an independent setting...

Very strange, it works for me.

look in the other topic. The message might actually be correct, but no timers are changed or disabled, there's something wrong with that mechanism.
