Hi Guys,

 

I been using Openpli 3.0 since I got my DM 800 HD SE box about 3 years ago, and I been very happy with it. But lately I started to have some minor problems with it, like the EPG not updating, and time on the box beeing wrong and so on.

 

So I'm thinking that it might be time to upgrade to Openpli 4 or something else. But since I can see that my box is no longer supported, I'm unsure what that means for me, if I install Openpli 4. Can someone tell me what it means that my Dreambox is no longer supported ? Would it be better for me to install another image, where my box is supported ?

 

If I need to upgrade from Openpli 3 to Openpli 4, do I then have to re-install everything, like tuner configuration and so on ?

Use autobackup to preserve your settings, then you can simply flash the new release and keep (most of) your settings.

Thanks. I see the Autobackup under plugins. But after installing new image, how do I restore the settings back then ? I only see back, not restore option?

If you flash again, the autobackup will restore your settings, it's embedded in the post-flash actions if you have set the 'create autoinstall' to 'on'.
