Hi there.

Using VU+ Duo2 and I just totally reflashed the box with one 25.10.2015 image from this site.

The problem is subtitle delay when watching local harddrrive records. Subtitles appear appx. 4 seconds after they should and there is no adjust for this.

When watching the recording (TTX subtitles, C-More 0.8W satellite) with e.g. VLC 2.2.1, teleText subtitles are just perfect.

This bug is atleast one year old with different OpenPLI images. This applies to ALL subtitle types.

Thank you.

When the subs do not have a timestamp this can happen.... The only thing you can do is play with the delay when subtitle timing lacks setting....

WaveFrontier 28.2E | 23.5E | 19.2E | 16E | 13E | 10/9E | 7E | 5E | 1W | 4/5W | 15W

But, VLC 2.2.1 plays the same file without any issues. subtitles are right on the money. Provider is THOR 0.8W satellite C-more channel family.

And it all of my recordings... different sources as well..

Even with TimeShift same thing.

There is no subtitle delay adjust, only audio.

The delay adjust is on subtitle selection>subtitle quick menu

From my experience negative delays do not have any effect, only positive values work with teletext subtitles.

Well, thank you for this, but I havn't found in my OpenPLI4.x version anything about subtitle delaying..

Still, this is besides the point that there might be some error that could fixed? :)

I can deliever some .ts sample recordings if some DEV personel would like to take a look into this...

Yellow - Yellow - Blue from the top of my head. In the panel where you can select a subtitle track you can press the blue button to change subtitle settings, delay are the last two entries in that menu.

In my experience a negative delay does work, but obviously only if the subtitles are received ahead of time. I see a difference between 0 and -2sec, but setting it to -10sec or so doesn't really make a diffference.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

If you would have taken the effort to read the numerous previous postings on this matter, you could have known this is no OpenPLi bug and as such we can't now won't "fix" it.

@Erfeniuses Use these settings to avoid the 4 seconds TXT delays you experience in your recordings, this was I did myself in order to avoid delays
