MastaG, are you gonna make a image for fulan - spark with taapat driver?! :)

And chek it out the gstreamer, only one skin worked good, others have problem with resolution...

Regards

For those who can't wait for the spark7162 update, here are replacement pti and stmdvb modules which can be used...

(the stmdvb module depends on the pti module, so both must be replaced...)

joeuser, would you mind sharing the recipes for the preferred drivers and pti for both spark and spark7162?

Used this image on my genuine DM800HD-PVR with SSL#84. Works like a charm... Only thing needed was to adjust the key-repeat for the old grey DM7000 remote. As said earlier it is used in NL with a Ziggo card (Cable Provider).. Absolutely no problem...

One drawback: You can't use software update. If you do the box will no longer boot Enigma. It stops by showing the bootlogo (autumn 2015 version). After some time the spinner should appear signalling that Enigama2 is booting.. However this stahe is simply never reached..

It's no biggy (the box runs perfectly on a 'clean' install....

But just to let you know..

Yes it could be that I accidently broke the feed along the way.
Will be fixed as well.

Unfortunately, as you probably already know, the pti code is non-public and I do not have a copy. The files I posted are from PKT's latest Hyperion 5.1 image.

Hello,

I am not familiar with this image and I would like to try the image on DM800 HD PVR. Please can you tell me how to install CCcam into it? It can be done manually or it is included in the menu?

Thank you much in advance,

kovy27

Just in case anyone else is interested, I am running this on an Alien 2 triplex (Spark7162) from an NFS server

On boot, init runs /etc/init.d/ddbootup and at the end of that script, it removes the ip address set by the kernel, causing the nfs mount to fail...

# Flush eth0 device which is set by kernel cmdline
ip addr flush dev eth0

By commenting out the last line, the system boots fine from an nfs server.

# Flush eth0 device which is set by kernel cmdline
#ip addr flush dev eth0

You need to install it using telnet.
Use the opkg command.
The feed is working but it doesnt work from the ui.

BTW = replacing the spark7162 stmdvb module also fixes the framebuffer problem. (credit to pauldb for noticing the correlation...)

OKI, maybe we get a really usable image for an older machine... ;)

joeuser, that's great to hear my friend.

I'm already switching to Tap's drivers.

I just need to tackle the plugin-installation screen problem so we don't have to manual use opkg anymore.

Hi Dear MastaG thank you a lot for your  new great job!

I have an old DM800 HD.

I am still trying to install a USB DVB-T pen.

I have two:
- DVB-T AVERMEDIA 867 with chip af9035 and

- August DVB-T205 PC  with chip  RTL2832U .

I downloaded from the feed (green button) and installed the drivers for chip  RTL2832U. I rebooted the DM 800 but the USB DVB-T was not recognized. So I tried to download the driver for the other  DVB-T (chip AF9035) Sky IT USB pen (blue led) but the result was an error.

Please could you post here those drivers in .ipk format so that I can try to install them manually using Telnet.

Thank you for your help in advance.
Bye

Pure90:

Could you do it using telnet by using the opkg command?

eg: opkg update

opkg list | grep dvb

opkg install your plugin

Then reboot and login again using telnet and type: dmesg

Pm me the details you see on the screen.

In other news I'm now using Taapat's drivers in the spark images.

He gave some good help :-)

It's working great so far.

No more framebuffer issues, more snappy and I've fixed the plugin-installation screen as well.
