I'm streaming a full bouquet so I can zap from vlc.

It seems it needs a line like this before every channel "#EXTVLCOPT:program=207" (what is the purpose of it, btw?)

Without it vlc is unable to open the stream. 

The added data correspond to the setting "Add service name to stream information".

This data only included if I stream a single channel but not a bouquet. 

As a result all the links in the bouquet aren't playable.

 

If it is a must to use this setting for vlc why is it even an option?

To what exactly correspond the program number 207?

It doesn't look like the channel number. How can I find this number easily?

 

It would be also be the expected behavior that when you choose a bouquet streaming to tell the tv tuner to get lost and free the resource.

 

One other thing, I would like to stream the audio only and that it would be in sync to what is playing at the box so I can view it from there, is that possible?

This is useful in situations when you don't have a speaker connected.

OpenPLi is not OpenATV if you need support for OpenATV image you should ask it on their own forum.

Why? Is it any different on openpli? Are those issues there don't exist?

The webif is the same plugin from what I know.

 

Openpli is not supported for my box and openatv it is a mainly a German forum...

I've also a different box with openpli if that helps...

Currently not in use as I killed my tuner.

OpenWebIf is not maintained by OpenPLi. At best create an issue here:

The codebase of OpenATV is not equal to OpenPLo, so yes, there can be significant changes between both.

I'm yet to know even if this is vlc or enigma related...

Are you saying this is a non-issue on pli?  

Maybe I need to change the vlc version? (I used the latest)

 

Isn't the PLI in both images indicates that they are very closely related? 

I used them both for a long time so I noticed they're quite similar underneath.

I always regarded them as close cousins. 

 

One more question that pops to mind is that, can I auto update the stream to follow what is playing on the tv and so there will be no conflict?

 

The audio sync feature would also be great for purposes like using a bluetooth headset with your tv.

A workaround for not being able to do it from the box.

Does this vlc log tells you anything?

Come to think of it, it may be related to the alternative numbers settings which I've enabled. I will check this.

Well... after digging a few hours in the code I've got some answers. 

Since no one answered I'll do it.

The program number is the forth value in the sref represented in hex. 

 

You write this in the code, but for me actually the complete opposite is true:

# When you use EXTVLCOPT:program in a transcoded stream, VLC does not play stream

I've edited the code and I get this output now which is fine and playing.

I still have the same errors in the vlc log but it doesn't seems to matter. 

 

I'll do a commit after researching stuff some more.

At least it is working now
