Wait until we know what causes it, and we have fixed it.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

There is a version difference between the Package index and the packages themselfs, so the wrong version is downloaded (which off course does not exist).

There is no plugin. We don't think an STB is a security device and we don't actively support vpn's and firewalls on the STB.
But if you insist, I already gave you the answer in my previous post...

I don't read PM -> if you have something to ask or to report, do it in the forum so others can benefit. I don't take freelance jobs.
Ik lees geen PM -> als je iets te vragen of te melden hebt, doe het op het forum, zodat anderen er ook wat aan hebben.

Yes, when you restart your box, OpenVPN will start automatically. You only need to add the correct client configuration.

EPG is held in memory. If you do a normal shutdown or reboot, it will be stored in a temporary file, and re-read when the box restarted. You need enough storage for that, the file is easily 20-25Mb in size.
You can not simply switch the box off, or pull the power plug. For the same reason you shouldn't do that with a computer.
