Fankoosh,

Inside the PLi directory there are builds for Zgemma Star.
I believe they are:
sh1 = s, s2 and h2
h3 = s2s and h2h
lc = that recently released dvb-c only receiver
h5 = the upcoming model with h265 (no 4k) support

For my next release I also have the i55 queued up, I found the drivers in the meta-airdigital bsp from oe-a and it builds.
But I have no clue on which model it represents.

Patching of the vermagic is to allow you to run another (somewhat newer?) kernel. It has nothing to do with avoiding anti-clone measures.

Correct, but I don't think it's allowed to modify any of the modules at all.

Another way would be force-loading them using modprobe -f so the vermagic check is skipped.

Not allowed according to whom? I'm sure the manufacturer won't like it, but it's not illegal. Maybe it won't work, maybe it will trash your receiver though ;)

You could also build a kernel that doesn't check vermagic at all.

Is mgcamd really necessary?

I'm already shipping the latest oscam rev with the emu+stream-relay patch from joeuser. (voor alle zwart-kijkers :P).

It's opensource and it can connect to your extended-newcamd shares just fine by setting mgclient=1.

Mgcamd is usually only asked for by people who want to use a public card server!  :(

Why public card server??? I have always used mgcamd for my cards since the beginning.

Now there is mgcamd1.30 in the feeds but not 1.38 which is the latest version.

@hemertje - If you want to be pure then remove oscam and cccam too but all these emus are available in the official feeds so why remove them is the jafar feed?!

Let's don't start a discussion regarding these things..

Hemertje is talking about the "emu" part, but I'm not shipping any keys.. also CCcam supports static keyfiles which is in the official feeds as well.

But if you can PM me a link to mgcamd 1.38 I'll add it for you.

That's right!

I've used mgcamd to update my cards for ages.

mgcamd doesn't support cards!

SO you must be using newcamd or another card server to connect to and update your card.

Oscam or CCCam can also connect to the same newcamd card server.

True but if I have always used mgcamd with no issues why should I change to Oscam? All emus can but abused after all.

True. It is a weird way of seeing this phenomenon...

Moreover, one could say the MGcamD is used to connect to those infamous GBox pay TV servers - but so can OSCam and so on and on...

It's a fig leaf...

give me skin_user.xml, which runs on your image.dreambox 800 HDSE.
I use several and none running on OpenPLi

skin_user.xml is never required for any PLI image.

This file contains user customized screens, overwriting the corresponding screens in your chosen skin.xml

No one but yourself can give you a skin_user.xml for your own box and/or taste.

If you old skin_user.xml files don't work with OpenPLI, then either delete them or adjust them yourself.
