Is the new openpli 5 image available?? I can't see any comment about openpli 5 final images. Could anybody tell me something about it? I read there are images of v5 with kodi 15.2 but this is not for vu+ zero, but I havent found it.

The answer is very simple. You weren't able to find it because of the fact that there isn't yet a OpenPLi 5 image. :)
As soon as the OpenPLi 5 image exists you'll find it in the downloads.

Ok, I know it is not available in download area, I wonder if there are beta test images. I guess only developers have access to these images, in the process to get a stable build. Thanks.

Biggest difference is a newer OE version, and a (much) newer Gstreamer version. It could be that boxes with drivers that require an old kernel will be retired, but no decision has been taken as of yet.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hi,

I wonder which boxes you are thinking of, since most of the OE-A images are using the latest gstreamer and still build for nearly all the existing STB.  ;)

I don't think I said that it would be related to gstreamer?

The problem is usually the requirement for an old kernel version, due to old drivers. If the kernel gets too old, we'll drop support. Like we did for the DM800 and DM7025 in 2013.
