Can OpenPLi please add support for Unicable 2.

I have a consumer 32 channel Unicable LNB and with the current PLi image it is only possible to access the first 8 channels. And this is only possible because the first 8 channels are backward compatible to Unicable 1. This LNB is more than enough to supply my Solo4K, Ultimo, Solo2 and Uno all at the same time, but not using current OpenPLi build.

There is example code here:

https://github.com/o...043242d4213ce37

That code would probably merge directly with OpenPLi, maybe with a couple of tweaks in sec.cpp.

We would need a way to test it, no one in the team has a JESS setup, so we'd be implementing blind.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

We know of the patch, but it can't be applied 1:1 (especially as the relevant experience lacks in the team). If someone would donate some JESS systems though :P ;)

a pick/comparison from openmips would be more easily as openmips is much closer to openpli then openatv.

JESS is working perfect.

But still someone needs to offer us a JESS configuration -or- someone who has a JESS configuration needs to offer us a good patch that can be accepted... ;) :D

This is just standard satellite equipment. Nothing exotic. If you need help testing I am happy to oblige.

Where is OpenMIPS Enigma2? Or do you have a link to a specific commit?

One step at a time. Can at least LNB be implemented then?

:o

this price looks too good to be true ;)

I've been shopping around a little for such lnb lately, to eventually upgrade my unicable installation, but the price was/is 70-80 EUR (?!), so I gave up for the moment...

I'm looking around too for a unicable II lnb, but not every store seems to have them and always the description is a bit lacking, is it unicable I or unicable II model?

I have seen them with pricetags of 25 euros till 100 euros.

Some have multiple connectors on them: unicable connector and one or more legacy lnb connectors to attach non unicable receivers.

By comparing the specs from the inverto website with those of the shop they seem to match all.

http://www.inverto.t...ection=1&id=324

But like Huevos said best is to compare the model number but that piece of info is missing!

25 euros seems to cheap, but this is the cheapest I found till now but I believe its unicable I but I cant tell for sure the model number is lacking here too

I have a motorised DiSEqC/USALS dish, did someone already test if such a setup is compatible with usage of unicable lnb's?

The 'old' Unicable works fine, with or without motor.

The Unicable LNB's with two outputs have one Unicable output and one legacy output (both can be used at the same time).

I've sent http://digital-x.nl a mail requesting more info (as indeed the price is very low).

I've got this:

https://www.hm-sat-s...teilnehmer?c=83

32 channel LNB. So works out 2€ per channel. Very good value for money and all receiver share one cable saving a lot more money and time on the install.

Pity with the current version of PLi I can only access the first 8 channels.

Is that an LNB with built-in JESS support, that you can directly connect to a tuner? Or does that still require an additional JESS switch?
