Not an issue with this module itself, but it is related... I tried inserting a Blu-Ray disk into a USB Blu-Ray player on my OpenVix system (not OpenPLi, yes, but read on...). This happily mounted it - but on /media (i.e. temporarily removing access to my hard-drive and USB stick). The reason for this is that the mounting is done by bdpoll (which is in the OpenPLi git repository) and it expects to mount at /media/{disk-label}. But it can't read labels for Blu-Ray disks, so mounts on /media/. I've tested a patch for this and it's been submitted as a pull-request: https://github.com/O...2-helper/pull/2 perhaps someone could apply it?

The first test version of the simple plugin to play blu-ray discs.

Github: enigma2-plugin-blurayplayer

attachicon.gifBlurayPlayerMovieSelection.jpg

attachicon.gifBlurayPlayerMain.jpg

Requires libbluray library (attached).

Plugin can play bluray folders and local iso images.
Iso image plugin mount, therefore I disabled iso mount from network. In my opinion it takes too much time, and it is impossible to normal use.

Create this plugins I was inspired by nikolasi. I'm in my image for 7111 already in 2014 made automatically bluray play using libbluray library and ffmpeg. But openpli used gstreamer, and this option does not suit. After I read about the nikolasi plugin, I again became interested in the bluray. But I decided to do a little bit differently.

I created library that works with enigma python code.
The plugin is integrated in the MovieSelection screen and does not have its own interface to run. Therefore do not be surprised that after installation it can not be found.

Just press ok in MovieSelection screen on bluray folder or iso file to open titles selection. The first title is the longest.

While the plugin only reads the file length from the titles and play the corresponding m2ts file.
It does not support chapters and angels.

I have own build system, newest, therefore by my request for openpli-4 packages build MastaG. Many thanks to him for that!

Hello

Are you planning version this plugin for ultimo 4k?

I've used so far dreambox (bludisc player). after the change to the VU + I miss such a plug

It's not me but a friend; he uses VTi & (a preliminary version of) ViX. The plugin is built directly from Taapat's GiT, and it works fine on both.

I still don't understand why this functionality hasn't been embedded, just as has been done for the DVD-player.

Really? Who needs it? I guess 0.5% of the users or less. If it’s a plugin in the feeds it’s ok for me.

How many MB does it offer? When we think about the ‘small’ flash boxes?

Actually this functionality has already been embedded.
Only this is added by installing the plugin.

On develop libbluray library ipk is 138,7KiB, blurayplayer plugin ipk is 20.3KiB.
Compared with the smaba or openwebif, which may not be used by all users every day, they occupy a microscopic place ;) .

2 Questions please:

1 : Is this plugin suited for the Vu+ Uno4KSe with PLi6.2? If yes where to download, I cannot find it in the feed...

2: Does this plugin also handle PGS subtitles?

TIA

Are there models which cannot play Bluray, despite the plugin being installed?

I have a USB Bluray drive attached to my ET8500, and it plays DVDs through the movieplayer just fine. (Didn't bother installing the DVD Player plugin...)

When I put a BluRay in and open the drive, the plugin lists the playlists, and I select the first one (the longest one, obviously the film itself), after a few seconds it pops up the movieplayer, and tells me it is at 0:00, and the length is 0:00, after which nothing happens until I either press STOP or EXIT...

root@et8500:/# opkg list-installed | grep bluray
