there will be in the future an OpenPLi image for decoder Spycat?

I've never heard of a Spycat. If the manufacturer requests it, and it conforms to our requirements, perhaps.


Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

spycat is my favorite next box after vu+ , i really like it , it is a good strong german made box with all latest hardware specification & enigma2 features , they now have 4 diff boxes in their website :)

Hi, i found on spycat website the official image, it's an openpli image without any plugins available.

Is this image an official openpli or it' s an openpli modified by someone ?

In case this is actually so, i can assure you this isn't an original Openpli image.
Do you have a link to this image?

Mijn schotel is een T90 met 10 LNB's. Daarnaast voor de fun nog een draaibaar systeem met een Triax TD 78.

Dreamboxen heb ik niet meer echt actief. Verder heb ik ook nog een een VU+ duo2 met 500Gb harddisk + een VU+ Uno, Zero, Solo 4K, Ultimo 4K, Zero 4K, Uno 4Kse. + ook nog een Xtrend ET7x00. Daarnaast heb ik ook nog diverse andere modellen w.o. een Formuler F4, ET8500, ET7500, Mut@nt 2400HD, Xsarius Fusion HD se en verder nog wel het e.e.a. waarmee op verzoek vanalles wordt getest. Iemand moet het tenslotte doen. ;) :)
Los van de eerder genoemde modellen heb ik nog wel een rits aan testsamples als Mut@nt 2400HD, HD60, GB UE4K, GB Trio4K, Maxitec Multibox combo en Twin, Octagon sf8008, sf8008 mini en last but nog least enkele modellen van het Grieks Duitse Edision.

Voor centrale opslag van media gebruik ik een Qnap 219P met tweemaal 2 Tb harddisks + een Synology DS414 met 12 Tb Totale opslag.

Thanks for informing me.
In case this is actually an Openpli image I'm afraid they'll have to remove it. Unless it is a 'based on OpenPLi image' which should be clear for the enduser.

Hi, thanks for your nice job, i' ve installed "OpenPLi-4.0-beta-spycat-20160524_usb.zip", it's ok but when i reboot the decoder i see the bootlogo of old image (Openatv) and then the openpli bootlogo.

Can you tell me how i can resolve it ?

By flashing a openatv image the splash screen is overwritten by an openatv version.
You could best flash an original image an then again an Openpli image, or in case you have a Spycat splash screen flash just the splash screen.

This is the official splash, copy it onto your USB-stick in the folder spycat (or spycatmini) and flash it

Hi, can i flash with only splash in the folder or i need the complete image+ splash in the folder ?

My suggestion would be to try it yourself. As I haven't tried I can't confirm what to do exactly. Usually the splash.bin should be sufficient.

Hi, only splash.bin it doesn't work, then I made a backup with backupsuite ( thanks to Pedro ! ) and I added the splash.bin in the folder.

Now all is ok.

I hear you tried the lookuptable.txt and it worked. Can you tell something about the time it takes to make a back-up and with what speed (kb/s)?

On usb stick Kingstone 16 Gb:

Time: 4.19 mins.

Speed: 389 kb/s
