Hi,
I always find it strange to ask to stream an IPTV stream from your STB to another device when the STB already received it from IPTV server.
Why not simply directly use the IPTV source on your device on which you want to watch it?
There will be no added value to have the STB streaming back something that it already get by IP stream, except if you want it to transcode the stream to another format.

The technical problem is that recording or streaming an IPTV stream will open a second stream. The box can not "tap" an existing stream like it can for "tuner" streams.
Not a problem for any publicly available IPTV stream, a big problem for authenticated streams.
Hence my suspicions...

Good Morning,
Just to be even clearer, I have bought a single stream IPTV I turned on my decoder that is connected to a TV that is located in the living room and it is available to all the family. The problem is that often at my age it is better to lie than sitting in my bedroom in which I don’t have a TV and in these situations I used the PC via openwebif that was connected to the decoder with cline, and so I saw with no problems . So for me it's just more comfortable, and I am not able to do transcode signals or otherwise.
I understand that with IPTV this thing is technically not possible because there are additional authentications than before and to do that I should have another IPTV to be activated on my PC. WanWizard I thank you for the clarification,
Mauro

No, it is not possible because your IPTV provider only offers you one stream. If you want to use your box to "re-stream", you're doing the same as open a second stream from your provider.

Unless using DVB compliant streams, when the normal hw demuxer can be used...

Unlikely for authenticated streams from an "IPTV provider"...

I will hijack this thread sorry. Why does Openwebif not support streaming of legal IPTV channels? VLC doesnt pick them up, on android however streaming works fine. Also E-Channelizer which uses VLC also streams and displays channels just fine.
These are legal IPTV channels, stream type 1, using udpxy to convert multicast to unicast.

Probably better to ask the OpenWebIf developers directly? https://github.com/E...penWebif/issues

Cmon Littlesat, didnt I wrote that this IS legal IPTV provider (provider that also offers internet and mobile)??? I can watch/record how many streams I want, it depends only on available bandwidth.
Yeah, its not common to have such option but it exists. Not in your county, but in our country two largest telecommunication providers offer this. Some channels are encrypted though, you need official receiver.

Why would you want to use the OWIF for streaming IPtv using VLC? Why not eliminate the STB and do it directly from the browser?

I just opened github issue for this. Shouldnt be a problem to fix.
