This might be difficult, and never complete. It happens quite a lot on +1 channels, not only on the ITV's.

We all know that it is a never-ending job as there are so many peculiarities to take into account if we want to have the best EPG. I think the info might be relevant as it's a recurring show. I also admit that it is not the kind of show that people are going to record and therefore use Rytec's EPG for. And also it is no top priority of course to remove this show.

Lately I have no automatic EPG on Sky Sports UK channels.

It works, but I have to choose the manual option.

How to solve this, Benelux work perfect.

That is odd, they should either be there, or not.

 

There are however multiple transmissions of these channels, and I have one Sky Sports 2, 3, 4 and 5 channel in my list without EPG. All others have them, so perhaps they moved and nobody gave Willy the new service refs?

Works manually, but not automatic?

 

The only thing I can advise you is to give your receiver a good kick.

Meaning, shutting it down, switching it off (power off) and leave it off for approx 5 minutes.

 

Now switch back on, and perform an import.  And then you have to wait a day to see if it has done its job the next day.

Thx, but that was my daily routine.

I can see EPG 'till thursday, that remains, until thursday.

So, no automatic EPG

This morning f.i. ITV4 has a schedule until 3/6 23h59  (so up to next Friday evening).  That is 6 full days of schedule.

I presume the file from yesterday had data until 2/6 23h59.  (I cannot check this anymore)

 

 

The question is what did you import.  The file from yesterday or the file from this morning.

The files on the servers are refreshed between 05h05 and 06h30 (UTC+2)  If you import before this time, you will import the file from yesterday.  If you import between these times, you will sometimes get the new file, sometimes the old file.

 

So is it a question of you import too early, or no import at all?

Pls. look at the import log after an automatic import has taken place.   You can find the import log when press the menu button when the epgimport plug-in screen is on-screen.

You can savethe log by pressing the blue button.  The log can be found then in /tmp/

This log should tell you if the UK file has been imported yes or no.

And if the UK file is imported, and you still receive no new data, you are automatically importing too early in the morning.

PS: this morning I cannot reach 2 of the servers.  But this should be no problem, as when I cannot reach them, you cannot download from them either, and the plug-in will automatically go to another server.

There is no import at all, normally EPG is automaticly imported after starting up (box is fully shut down every day).

After a few hours all data (e.g. from other providers) import OK, except those from Sky Uk.
After choosing a manual import also these are imported like a charm, upto 7 days ahead.

A remark, I remember there a 2 sources, is there any difference in them?

Without data I keep on guessing on why this can be happening.

I see the manual import, downloads the files from the correct locations.  We do not have to look further for this being a reason.

 

Also the automatic import imports nicely.  Also from the right locations.

I cannot see there is something being wrong.

 

Maybe you have some problem with downloading when the box comes out of deepstandby.

This is a know problem.  It is caused by some installed plug-ins.  Autotimer is one of them.  The problem is that the receiver time is not set properly until the receiver is tuned in on a channel.  And this process could take just a few seconds longer when some plug-ins are active.  The time set for the EPGimport is then set for a time based on a wrong start date/time.

I think I located the error why you do not have automatic import.

[EPGImport] WakeUpTime now set to -1 (now=1464673695)

Compared to my receiver:

[EPGImport] WakeUpTime now set to 1464678927 (now=1464676803)

Have you actived the automatic import?

If you did, I think you have to seriously look at using ntpdate.  You may have to install ntpdate

You can also use the systemtime plugin. Saves you the trouble of fiddling on the commandline.

There is an option to m ake a screenshot.

To save the screenshot, right click on the screenshot you want to save, and save the screenshot.
