This service reference is correct, but EPG is wrong. It is a Christian channel with Islamic EPG prgramming. Is grabber wrong?

Hi guys,

I think I'm in the right place.

I use your TV guide for our setups and I have noticed and had it confirmed by other users that Sky Cinema Brits (Sky Movies Modern Greats) isn't showing any TV guide.

I have downloaded the xml file and checked this with Notepad and there are no listing for that channel.

Thanks

The SKY movie channels are CWoE encrypted these days, and can no longer be watched with an open receiver. So imho it is a bit pointless to have EPG for channels you can't watch?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

We use an IPTV subscription and modify the Bouquets ourselves so the lists look as normal as before so we still use the TV guide for all channels.

Thanks

Paul

Afaik there are no (legal) IPTV providers that can sell you SKY Movies?

Your right, there isn't. Just like there wasn't before the new encryption kicked in but it didn't stop anyone before.

Would it be possible to request this channel is corrected for the guide? All other channels work fine.

Thanks

I am very negative towards all kinds of illegal IPTV.

This sort of watching TV is making it more and more difficult for the the users with a legal subscription.  Because of all this illegal stuff the providers enforce very heavy security which makes it almost impossible for a legal viewers to watch television on their beloved enigma2 machines.

Not that more security will prevent the sharing or illegal selling of these channels.  More security leads to more illegal offers for IPTV/CS

But as to why Sky Cinema Brits (Sky Movies Modern Greats)  is missing.

Sky has the tendency to rename the movie channels on a very regular basis.  Luckily on most websites the reference under which you can find the schedule of these stations remains the same.  So even when the name changes, I still get the correct schedule.

However for one or other reason this channel has changed position on the website, and due to the name change I lost the connection.  And not being able to watch these channels on my enigma2 receiver, I was not even aware of the new name.  So I could not relink this to a new grab position.  I will look into to this, if i can find a solution.

However, since no normal SKY subscriber asked me to find this renamed channel, I will not go to great lengths to find this channel.  Will give it a go.

Thanks Willy.

Can you just confirm it's the same service reference ( 1:0:1:1612:7dc:2:11a0000:0:0:0: ) like the old channel was?

Thanks again.

Paul

Removed the obsolete channel already.

EPG is indeed wrong.

Grabbed was the SD version of the channel.  But since this channel disappeared the webmaster in its infinite wisdom used the same reference to list a different channel.  Coorected this, but forgot the upload it to to actual grab PC.  So the old grab was still in place on that PC.  (On the development PC it was OK).

The new grab is running, and you can import within the hour.

Thanks Willy.

Just a quick question. I currently use the EPG-Importer plugin to obtain the Rytec TV guide which downloads 2 files,

The (rytecxmltv-xxxx.gz) file has the new information that you added earlier for me but the second file (rytec.channels.xml.gz) is missing the SkyBrits.uk link so still nothing will show.

Is this something you compile or is it done by others?

Thanks
