Hello,

On a vu+ duo2 with the latest openpli image there is no DTS sound when i read an iso dvd file.

The DTS track work fine with a mkv file but not with a dvd iso file.

I try EMC but with the same problem as with the internal video player

I try to download the DVD player plugin but without changing nothing

Of course my amplifier is DTS compatible and the downmix option is on off.

My DUO2 is connected ti the amplifier with HDMI

With my old DM800se and Openpli image it was working fine.

Thank very much for your help

Best regards

I can't test it here since my tv does not support dts and I do not have a dts amplifier.

But the dm800se as fare a i know always downmixed. unless there was a spdif cable to amplifier(i gues). so it is with dm8000 although.

Does vuduo2 support pass trough DTS  with HDMI? if not and the dvd iso is alright you should at least have audio when downmix is on by duo2 (that is avbl as internal codecs).

To see what can be done we need a dvd.iso of that type

on the duo2 You should also try first :

1) uninstall the LCD4linux plugin. Reboot stb. (switching off does not help)

Try again

Hi,

Thanks for your replies.

I try plenty ISO DVD and i don't have DTS sound on each. All of them worked fine on my old DM800se.

It's only with DVD structure, there is  no problem with mkv file and DTS sound .

I try to uninstall the LCD4linux but without more success on DTS.

Yes the VuDuo2 support pass trough DTS with HDMI (mkv/dts works in passtrough and downmix mode)

Thanks for your help.

Ter info iff You run a vob file : servicemp3  (gstreamer) is used.

To run a VIDEO_TS map the VIDEO_TS map (should be in capitals.) and the VIDEO_TS must be a submap of another map.

example : if You use a hdd, it should be mounte to /media/hdd

In order to run a extracted video.iso to a map with VIDEO_TS. it should be

/media/hdd/mydvd/VIDEO_TS

If You now wan't to play trough pvr button.

Just browse to /media/hdd

got to map mydvd  then it will automatically launch the dvd using libdreamdvd. (gstreamer servicemp3 is not used)

If i understand it's mean libdreamdvd is bugged and gstreamer work fine ?

Thanks Christophecvr,

it is indeed not gstreamer or the default pli's player servicemp3 since they do not play dvd's self.

But it maybe libdreamdvd or the vu+ drivers and most probably a combination of the two.

think well about the LCD4linux plugin which really needs to be uninstalled to play dvd's iso or real live dvd's on duo2 and thats an error off LCD4linux plugin not libdreamdvd.

Hi,

Thanks Christophecvr,

Of course i tried to change the track with the yellow button but only the AC3 tracks works.

I totaly remove the LCD4linux plugin (Plugins, red button, Select LCD4Linux) , deep sleep the box, switch off the box, switch on but the result is the same, no DTS on DVD structure.

I also try to temporary switch the /usr/lib/libdreamdvd.so.0.0.0 file with the file of my DM800se, reboot the box but without no more DTS sound (I replace the original libdreamdvd.so.0.0.0 file after the test !).

Finaly i replace the HDMI connection by SPDIF (Optical) connection but still no DTS sound (Only AC3).

Thanks for your help

Looks a pure codec problem then. But first do You see the dts track ?

@Christophecvr

Of course, i can see the DTS track, i can select it but i have no sound.

A codec problem ..... But when i select one .VOB file (Extract from ISO and put on VU+ HDD Folder) i can ear the DTS sound.

Ok if that's the case first You need to post a specific dvd.iso (dropbox can be used to pass a full dvd.iso) So we can test . I have about 120 dvd's (all orignally buyed) about 30 on them are even set to a iso file. 60 % off them are dts 5.1 anounced on the box (however all track's are ac3)
