Can anyone tell me please what would be the "acceptable" ECM time range before Glitching would or could occur on random channels (Sly uk 28.2E), my internet connection and ping times etc are perfect, been noticing the ecm times on glitching channels are a bit up and down.

I know that if they get too high then Glitching can occur, but I just cant remember what the acceptable ECM timings range is :unsure: , maybe someone knows eh please ?

FTA channels always seem to be perfect nomatter what, but I know thats usually the case too anyway, so forget them, I just mean the other channels.

Thanks guys

 Wan ? I dont even know what that means mate, I honestly dont, and I dont remember anyone telling me anything before suggesting anything as I have bearly made a dozen posts, I dont know what you mean mate, please advise ?

I am only asking about ecm times, thats all, I have had sat/Sly dish installer out checking my dish and LNB etc because of this and I personally think they just ripped me off and done nothing, they were just a private company, one man band type of outfit, I was reading ecm times can cause problems unless they come within a certain margin, I was only asking what that safe margin is.

WAN = wide area network
Meant is that it is not allowed to speak here about card sharing (over the internet).

And ECM times are not shown on official SKY boxes. They just decode or not. Glitches occur on these boxes only if signal is too poor or dish is 'moving' due to gusts of wind..

If you have your own smartcard and subscription, ECM timing is not an issue, the response of a SKY smartcard is very fast. If you don't, you're watching illegally, and we don't condone discussions about it on this forum.

It is as simple as that.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Buy an official subscription! You can still use the official subscription in enigma2 STBs. alas only for SD channels. The HD channels are using HW pairing.

And full pairing is underway.. Should stick to an original SKY box...
