I'll give it a shot when I come home from work today. Yes, the two FTA are on the same transponder. Please explain how I can check that they are in the same quadrant?

Remember that no of my channels are ever greyed out, as I'm using Kodi to stream them.

They are in the same quadrant if they are on the same transponder.

I don't know about Kodi but use normal OpenWebif streaming and report.

You need to check on your box itself, god knows what Kodi introduces.  The box will tell you, once a recording is active, what channels are still available for viewing and streaming.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Okay, I will try that. My issue here is that I'm dependent on Kodi, as I'm not allowed to have satelite dish placed outside of my apartment. Therefore my dish is placed at my parents house and the Dreambox is likewise, and my only option to stream where I can use a remote control for my TV, is through Kodi by connecting to my dreambox via internet to their home. (My parents have a separate dish and a separate dreambox for themselves).

But I will try directly on the dreambox on FTA and encrypted channels. I'm pretty much sure that Kodi is the bottleneck in my setup, but are there any other ways of doing it ? :) @WanWizard, maybe you will understand why I want to add nother Dreambox or VU+ now :)

Ok, I understand your setup, just saying it is difficult to "debug" if you have systems with unknown behavior in the chain. So start at the root, on the box, and if that works on, move to the next item in the chain.

When I am on the road, I always have a VU+ Zero with a wifi stick in my suitcase that is configured to setup an OpenVPN to my home, so I can stream from my box at home to wherever I am, using the "fallback tuner config". My home box does transcoding, so I can even watch TV in locations where the internet connection is relatively weak.

Ok, so this worked. I tested it, and I can record one channel and watch another (not greyed out channel). So the bottleneck is Kodi.. Hmmm... Sad.. The "fallback tuner config", is it possible on DM 800 HD SE ? Sounds very smart that you can watch TV in locations where the internet connection is relatively weak.

Client side, yes. Server side, the box that providers the fallback tuner has to be able to transcode to make it work over weak internet connections.

Any guides on how to do or an deeper elaboration?

How to do what exactly?

On the client, you configure the fallback tuner in the system settings (menu - settings - system - customize). There are two, enable/disable, and the URL, which must be http://<ip>:<port>, where ip is the IP of the box providing the fallback tuner, and port the streaming port to use. By default, that is 8001 for streaming, and 8002 for transcoding.

On the server (the box providing the stream) you don't have to do anything.

Please note that this doesn't work (well) when you have authentication on your streams.
