Thanks after replacing the file. i now get a different error on restart as follows: Some plugins are not available: Extension/kodiDirect(no module named  io)

hi PCD,

i re flashed my dm800hd with openpli image and was now able to install kodidirect without any errors but after the install i cant any see any default addons like exodus and even when i try to install it from the kodirect addons nothing happens. i am able to install other addons like movie24 and bbciplayer but unable to play or use them. please could you advise on how to fix this, your assistance is highly appreciated. thanks

Are you using a remote storage ? Is your KodiDirect in the image flash or on remote storage ?

Hello friends

I try to install KodiDirect on my DM800SE OpenPLi image, but when I go on the Menu>Plugins, I see next message:

Some plugins are not available: Extensions/Kodidirect (No module named KodiDirect.plugin)

How to fix this problem?

Hello openpli members,

I tried installing the usb version of Kodidirect 3.1 

I placed the image on the box in the /tmp folder ( my mutant1265 has 256 mb free flash memory)

did the install via telnet command

 

but the install failed,   it gives me the message:  no more available memory on box.

 

so do i have to place the image on the usb drive in a /tmp folder en run the install from there?

Why install the usb version ? Try the 'all' version.

thanks, the all version did work. I assumed i had to use the minor memory (usb) version.

 

tried to start a plugin: (exodus)

now i have a message in the message log,  i dont understand how to fix this ?

 

"Unable to open printcap file /etc/printcap for read!"

 

( there is no "printcap" file in  /etc)  maybe someone can share it

It is working now.

New fix. If addon already installed - please remove and re-install.

I installed enigma2-plugin-extensions-kodidirect-usb_3.1_r0_all.ipk on my DM500HD.

I'm able to install addons and only a few do work.

If I sellect some certain installed addon my system reboot or some just don't respond.

 

Or did I choose the wrong version of kodidirect?

Please give some examples - I will try. Some addons probably need updating.

I use this file to install "enigma2-plugin-extensions-kodidirect_3.1_r0_all.ipk" on my DM500HD with FlashExpander.

 

after install kodidirect is not vissable in the menu till you re-start your STB.

 

 

init 4

killall -9 enigma2

enigma2 > /tmp/e.log 2>&1 &

 

If I use these above commands separatly I get an error on killall -9 enigma2

 

root@dm500hd:/# init 4

root@dm500hd:/# killall -9 enigma2

killall: enigma2: no process killed

 

However if I sellect the tree command rules and past them at the promp it works, don't ask me why.

 

I put the file "plugin.py" in this directory: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/KodiDirect

 

I also replace the e2_utils.py at /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/KodiDirect/scripts/script.module.SubsSupport/lib/SubsSupport/e2_utils.py

 

The generated e.log does not tell much, only one rule that says "KodiDirect session start"

 

Are here other people who have KodiDirect on thier DM500HD installed and woking?
