I need a small help.

 

I don't see all installed skins  in my Menu - system - skin menu.

even if i installed any new skin from Plugin menu, i can see it in /usr/share/enigma2 folder, but it doesn't appear in Skin menu e.g. MX-HQ7

Vu solo 4k image is not in a good state since by default I compress the larger binaries such as /usr/bin/enigma2 with upx to save some space (at the cost of performance).
This causes segfaults for some binaries on the vu solo 4k probably because its arm instead of mipsel.
For the next release I'll exclude arm and you should have a good image for your vu solo 4k.

The VU+ Solo 4K is a 'strange fish in the pond'. Conservatively speaking the choice for a ARM may not have been the wisest. Since it's launch it is hampered with 'strange' problems, failing plugins, crashes. Even so bad I would never ever opt for this model EVEN if there were ample UHD channels to chose from....

There is nothing wrong with the choice for ARM. The only problem are closed-source plugins that contain binaries. And those should be banned anyway. All plugins that have open C++ source compile fine.

May that as it be. Especially the Solo 4K has major issues since it's arrival. And for a box representing the future, that's not a good feeling....

Hi all,

 

Thank you for all the feedback.

 

Since I'm a bit in a hurry, I'll try and answer some questions.

 

1. The DM800 feed has been fixed now

2. For spark and spark7162 you should use "boxtype = dreambox" in oscam [dvbapi], don't use duckbox it will not work and give you a black screen.

3. Some images got corrupted when uploaded to mega.co.nz. I use megaput for linux but it seems their services are not reliable.

The DM800Se image (and probably other images as well) got corrupted. For my next build I'll use some other fileshare provider.

Try my previous image and follow the guide in the first post to copy over the root filesystem to external storage, then do an online upgrade.

It's a nasty workaround but I don't have the time to reupload all images atm.

@ian1095 I believe Erik Slagter fixed this issue in enigma2 right after my builds.

Next build should have it fixed

Yes I know, mega.co.nz is far from reliable.
Since I'm back from my holiday now, I'll start updating the sources to prepare the next batch.
Taapat also synced his fulan enigma2 repo with OpenPLi again so next images should have all features and fixes again for our sh4 (spark) users.

I'll probably start building next week.

All I need is another place to host the images, preferbly something that has a tool for linux for uploading files (mega.co.nz has megaput for example).

11135 v transporter on hellas sat 39E have a bug on enigma alien, but on spark works.

If you could check it out, just saying...

hello there,image manager working perfect to me.here the steps from me to create a backup:i run the plugin image manager,going to select mode:Backup,source partition:NAND-Flash,target partition:HDD(/dev/sda1),type of archive:TAR.GZ,and then i press the OK button and starting the process and after 10 minutes i have the full backup for multiboot.i made a backup every day and never crash to me.

Tried ImageManager on other image (PKT) work well, i know how to use it, on this image from MastaG (Box Spark 7111 GM990) without anything else installed on first boot and after installing and launching this plugin enigma2 crashes (see log).

good evening,i don't think you mounted your HDD or USB proper and you have this error.Anyway if you want the original image from MastaG to tar.gz for multiboot i can convert it for you and uploaded here,tell me if you want it.
