You can configure in the settings where timeshift files are created (default /media/hdd). If you select "save timeshift file" the timeshift file will stay in that directory. If you select "save timeshift file in movie dir" it should be moved to movie directory.
So in movie list goto timeshift path and you will find the recordings.

I go to lets say channel 1

and select "save timeshift file in movie dir"

its not there

I move to channel 2, then the timeshift file of channel 1 is there

but if I then on channel 2 press "save timeshift file in movie dir"

and I move to another channel timeshift of channel 2 is not made

Yes, right. It is not saved immediately. It is saved when you change the channel or start a movie.
It should work every time. So if it work only once it might be a bug. Or is channel 2 a special channel like IPTV or hdmi IN?

Erik general question? I have automatic start of timeshift activated. I don't use it everyday, but regulary. It works for me, but it's not perfect. A ringbuffer would be good, so that timeshift file cannot grow infinite. And a possiblity to convert a timeshift recording into a normal recording so that you don't have 2 files would be good... But I guess it's too offtopic.

On topic. I think for history back and forth it never worked before. Need to look into the code in the next days.

Long, long time ago, I think 2013 a member called Dima73 made a working adaptation from the plugin PTS (Permanent Timeshift).

Last version I have is 1.3g

All post earlier 2014 have disappeared from the forum, so I cannot give a link

PTS

3 menu items appended in the recording menu.

Timeshift save recording (stop after current event)

Timeshift save recording (select event)

Timeshift save recording (current item until this time)

The last item was requested by me.

I'm still very grateful for his work and I use it every day.

I believe he uses now another name here ;)

Oh, I was wrong.

Just tested it. Automatic timeshift start is activated. I zapped to a channel and waited some seconds so that timeshift starts. Then I pressed record button and have chosen "Save timeshift file in movie directory". Then I pressed left or right button and afterwards the timeshift file was visible in the movie list. So no problem here.

Ok, it's not the latest PLi that is running here...

Do you use neutrino style?

Okay. I as because for some models timeshifting just doesn't work because of driver bugs.

Hi,
My problem with Timeshift this is that when the USB pen drive are full data, nothing works.
Why does not clear when put off the box?
I try to select a temporary folder type /tmp
