Hi,

Is it possible to install/update XMLTV plugin over SSH?

We have a VU+ Ultimo with no screen attached, it's used to watch only over the network. So it would be easy if I can install this over SSH.

I think I installed it with :

opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-xmltvimport-rytec

But how do I configure?

Many thanks

Erwin

Perform first an opkg update:

opkg update

Install both:

opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-xmltvimport
opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-xmltvimport-rytec

Configuring will be difficult without a screen.

But via the webif it should be possible.  Use the webif remote to access the plug-in.

It is slow but should work.

But why would you like to import EPG in a receiver on which you cannot watch anything?

If you are watching on this receiver via another enigma receiver, install the XMLTV importer on that receiver.

Hi WIlly, already thanks for helping me out.

I use it to watch sports & record.

And to add a timer i need the EPG :)

And because it's only used over the network, it's not switched from channel a lot, and so the EPG for other channels is totally not up to date, so i first have to switch to the channel i want to record, wait for the EPG to update, before i can set the recording timer.

I managed to do a few things with the virtual remote control.

Still have to find a 'howto', but that's no problem.

But when I download the data, noting seems to happen, and when I try to "update Rytec proveders, I get the error in the file attached, so it looks like it's not downloading; is there a LOG file?

Yes there is a log file.

Go to the import plug-in.

With the configuration onscreen (I know ackward in the Webif) press the menu button.  You see now the log file.

This log file can be saved by pressing the blue button.

The log file will be saved in the /tmp/ folder.

Pls. post the log file.

Willy

"update Rytec proveders:

Are you using Crossepg?

In XMLTVimport the rytec sources are installed with: enigma2-plugin-extensions-xmltvimport-rytec

Hi,

But you need first to configure which "Sources" you want to download the EPG from. This is the first things to do, it is called: Sources (blue button) in EPG import.

Have you already configure them?

Once done back in the EPG import main menu, press the yellow button to manual download them and check if the counters increased this can take a while before starting.
