I have the same... No CI+ with card that requires a PIN... So I cannot test... So developing it by me is not possible...

i have testet many channels with 16+ programs and also two channels with 18+ programs on a mutant hd 2400.

Latest CI helper 3.3-r7 has the following release Notes:

 

Basic OpenPLi and OpenATV Image support for dm7080hd and dm7020hd

 

 

Do you know anything about this ?

 

I could test it only my dm7080 with OpenATV Image (despite that they offer their own solution) and it seems to work at least for a single module as it steals the camd.socket for communicating with enigma2,  but if anybody could try it with an OpenPLi Image on his dm7020hd this would be nice.

At the moment only the new binary as *.ipk and *.deb was provided, and deepblue2000 is only x-posting the kits from another board.

 

I could only test if it work on my dm7080 with OpenATV as already mentioned, as there is no PLi for this box available I already asked if a dm7020hd owner could test it.

 

But I'm not sure if the PLi image for the dm7020hd even has the latest drivers from mid of June included, because only tehse really work even on the troublesome transponder.

 

BTW it is also possible to test it on a dm7020hdv2 despite that you don't build such images - BA 11.91 allows you to boot the v1 image nicely on a v2 I was told, and in case of old drivers in PLi you could overcome this also with a recent DMM experimental Image in Flash.

 

At least it seems to prove that it is possible to make it work without ANY changes to your image

 

So your assumption that DMM just recycled the camd socket protocol for these additional sockets on /var/run/ca (to prevent disturbing the real soft cams) seems to have been correct. But then my assumption that it would be really just copy & paste to add full support to your image would be also correct.

Use experimental satdreamgr image, it is OpenPLi with extra patches to support DMM.

It has the latest drivers for dm7020hd(v2) released few days ago, it also also working with new dual tuners (A1, A2, B instead of well known A, B,C)...


BTW, if Dreambox want official support from OpenPLi they need to ring the bell...

Thanks for confirming that the latest drivers are not (yet) included in your image (yes they offer the proper dual tuner support so that 7020hd works with 4 Tuners).

 

Basically the recent price changes for the old DMM boxes were the reason why some people I know bought one in the last weeks, because for 200 EUR it is a fine CI Modul and cardserver, and if you can only stream from a maximum of 2 CI  Modules the lack of GB Network is no problem at all. As a favour for them I re-compiled a working Barry Allen Version - if somebody buys a DMM v2 box at the moment this needs to be rewarded

 

If the Greeks are offering a more or less vanilla OpenPLi for my 7080 and the latest drivers for 7020hd I will try it there also to see if the latest helper binary gives 'enhanced' CI support, but I can not do this on the 7020hd as I don't own one anymore.

 

The OpenATV helper is still struggling to support 2 CI modules, even on the high end boxes the are supporting  (including VU 4k), while this one can handle this situation nicely.

 

Because I promised  to make my AutoPin work on the Open* Images now I have to find a way to support such a comination. it already looks good (not all crashes fixed) but it starts now on OpenATV and I could use it already during my tests there.

We do not have satdream image for v3 models, since nobody from our Greek community has such a box.

I can build an image for dm7080 although i would prefer test on dm7020hd(v2) if possible since there are members with that hardware.

BTW, some people report success using fransat on dm7020hd satdreamgr image without dream-ci-plus using just that cam: http://www.ws-tronik...odul::2699.html

They also mention HD+ as supported.

yes but there are already solutions available for HD+ 03 and 04 cards in the cardreader, but this OT here.

 

Fransat CI modules and cards are another story ...

 

I've just registered and checked and you are right, they support all newer  v2 boxes but not the new DreamOS based boxes 820/7080.

 

Unfortunately then I can't do further tests.

 

But the procedure would then be to flash their 7020hd v1/v2 Image, install the latest helper and autopin ipks, reboot and insert the CI module ... and watch authentification until it ... works ...

OK, I have asked one of my BA 11.91 testers to quickly install the latest SatdreamGR Image on his dm7020hd with BA and try if the helper 3.3-r7 and the AutoPin Plugin 3.4-r3 work.

 

He confirmed that it installed nicely and worked to watch TV and also record (not at the same time off course) with his single CI Module (he only had to disable the second module in AutoPin), so it is VERY likely to work also with the image in Flash.

 

So you now could ask your Greek friends to continue ... testing ...

 

PS: Which means BA 11.91 works with this image also - but I don't support such images im Flash - to prevent false hopes.
