Hi,

Also das Plugin ciplushelper funktioniert ja sehr gut an ner Mutant HD 2400

somit muss man nie nen Pin eingeben.

Check openmips - this will apply easier to openPli.

Maybe we can keep that complicated stuff simple by giving the CI the same parental pincode as E2 has.....

Personally i don't like that idea as there are reasons available to use different codes. But in the end it is up to you how you implement it. It is working in openmips and openatv like it should and how people it expected it to work.

I think the "complicated" stuff you mention is the second improvement hidden in those commits (considering ci-assignment (greying out no longer available services if ci-Module is in use))

Hi,

Sky Pin is not possible to disable.
Sky cards only work in sky ci+ module. There is no option to disable the pin als Sky does prevent that in their ci+ Module.

We cannot test it... No CI(+) required here.... So we are depending on free will helpers.... Sorry for that...

And I just prefer to have just one pin code....

hi littlesat,

i can test it :)  so if you have a patch (commit) for it i will build it in and test.

And I just prefer to have just one pin code....

for me it's ok  - i think it's only important that it works then.

One Code is not enough.
Each Card has a different pin.
You can change the pin - yes.
But think of having multiple cards - how do you change the existing code?
Lets sag you have a Sky and porn subscription - how Do you protect the porn Card differently with a single pin if you want to give Access to 16+ rated content from Sky to your son but not the porn Card?

The CI Helper for Dreambox doesn't need any extra code - it is a simple entry per module in the settings file

And as soon as you have automatic pin entry you will ask for surpressing of other unwanted CI messages ... which is also a setting ... there  :D

My AutoPin Plugin is just there to change the settings, but it still contains also the (unused) python code to automatically enter the PIN via python and mmi interface ... so there is NO need for e2 patches etc ...

Help yourself ...

It is indeed the best way to ask the pin once and
ask to store it for ever... Once it is incorrect ask for a nee one so nobody nerd to change a setting or settingsfile. E2 can take over parental control.

I cannot implement as I do not have ci and card for testing... Can the plugin gutemine be used? If so then no solution is needed...

The latest AutoPin ipk will probably install but it will NOT work.

Bu the he code shows how to rename the 3 relevant MMISocket routines with your own ones that depending on the PIN settings reply automatically with a PIN or surpress the CI Messages without putting this into enigma2 code.

Hence it proves that you can do this nicely from a plugin with very limited code.

Therefore you can use the plugin for inspiration but I will NOT adapt it to your needs - help yourself

First this is an old Version (latest version is 3.1-r5), second YOU can install it and make it run, x-posting it here is probably totally useless.

Probably nobody here will change it it make it work with PLi on your box and if somebody wanted he could have used it for inspiration long ago ...

Technically it is less then 2 pages of code to replace the showScreen, the addEntry and the okbuttonClick routines with the enhanced ones which check for a pin setting and for a message surpress setting. But this is only 10% of the AutoPin Plugin code which does lots of other things too which will not apply to OpenPLi. The patches work more or less the same way except that they are not designed as a Plugin to be installed on top.

->

That will not work very well if I have to create code blindly.... It is better that someone who has the CI+ card make it.....
