Is there any command for read HDMI EDID info?

Hello,

 

I want ask if there any command via putty for read HDMI EDID info? E.g. I mean, manufacter of my TV etc...

you may try cec-client

for mipsel already compiled I found it here

All these must install on the BOX ... ?

no, not all, try this, copy to /tmp and execute
tar -xzf cec-client.tar.gz -C /
then try
cec-client

Thanks for the help ! I did all these...but when i give cec-client the answer is:   

 
No device type given. Using 'recording device'
CEC Parser created - libCEC version 2.1.4
no serial port given. trying autodetect: FAILED
 
 
If i give  cec-client -l  then...
 
Found devices: NONE
 
And if i give  cec-client -s -d 1  then...
 
autodetect FAILED

Well...maybe...its not the EDID for that i want... (but really i am not sure) 

 

I want ask only if there any way for find the manufacter of TV which the box connected... or similar infos. Possible via infos of HDMI ?

I would think that this is a function of the Drivers installed on the box and as this information is probably unimportant to the manufacturers it is not asked so not available.


Until The Wheels are off the ground there is still hope
