J [...] be more explicit in the comment so that people can search for exemple for Sky and find this particular plugin, otherwise many people will miss it.

There is no hard coding in this plugin. Adding a comment about "Sky" would be hard coding. The plugin is for any OpenTV provider (that there are conf files for) and adding a hard coded message about "Sky" would be misleading. The plugin only shows providers on configured satellites. i.e if you only have 28.2E configured it will only show "Sky Uk OpenTV (28.2)", so if you want to know what providers are available on you setup just look in the plugin.

BTW, if you are talking about the description in the plugins download menu, as far as I know that comes from the .bb file and is nothing to do with the plugin itself.

Indeed I was talking about the description of the plugin so that a search with:  opkg list | grep -i "sky" will retrieve this plugin.

Most use don't know which EPG encoding system is used by there broadcaster but they at least know the broadcaster name. ;-)

Open EPG Plugin has a kit and support thread at OoZooN as all my other plugins and I'm not anybody's friend or darling or whatsover.

Putting something like Sky in a Plugin name or description is idiotic - unless you enjoy Tickling Tigers.

The build environment defines the GCC version. I'll try and upload a sanitised version later.

OpenTV EPG reader is on Dev branch of PLI. no need for this plugin or any other.

Sent from my Moto G (5S) using Forum Fiend v1.3.3.

I have removed the libc6 version and enigma2 dependency from these attachments. Otherwise same as the ones in post 90.

A small problem:

I cannot change the location of the database (the downloaded one)  it remains stuck on /tmp/

Maybe a problem is that I do not have a HDD or USB attached to it.  I have the receiver attached to a NAS, and everything goes there.

But I cannot select it, or edit the /tmp/ entry.

I found out that the settings are saved in /etc/enigma2/settings

But editing the location there is not accepted.  (yes edited this file with a stopped enigma)

Any suggestions.

Willy

It was deliberately coded to not accept remote paths (same as picons). What is going to happen if the mount point is lost?

https://github.com/L...n/plugin.py#L41

paths = ["/tmp/"] + map(lambda x: x.endswith("/") and x or "%s/" % x, [part.mountpoint for part in harddiskmanager.getMountedPartitions() if pathExists(part.mountpoint) and not part.mountpoint == "/" and not part.mountpoint.startswith('/media/net') and not part.mountpoint.startswith('/media/autofs')]) # no remote paths

If you want to experiment try replacing that line with...

paths = ["/tmp/"] + map(lambda x: x.endswith("/") and x or "%s/" % x, [part.mountpoint for part in harddiskmanager.getMountedPartitions() if pathExists(part.mountpoint) and not part.mountpoint == "/"])

Downloaded the .py file.

Applied the patch.  Copied the file to the receiver.  Restarted enigma2.

In the mean time, I created a /media/hdd folder on the receiver, and mounted the correct folder from my NAS on that (via fstab)

Now, I can select /media/hdd/  But i am not sure if the modification has anything to do with it.  Because I cannot select anything else than /tmp/,  /media/hdd/ or /media/usb/

In each case, problem solved for my case.

Willy

PS: The program saves the files on the wanted location.

I have also a /media/Backup folder.
This one I cannot select.

I would recommend that all folders present in /media can be selected.
Much like it is in the AutoBackup plug-in.

The paths are the root folder of each mount point.

From the point of view of the typical user the plugin is now redundant, since OpenTV EPG has been added to enigma core code.
