Hello,

Is there a way to autoschedule shutdown and startup a VU+ solo 2 on a daily basis ?

Thanks

No, as there is never a need to do so.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Hi,

there is a plugin called electro but for me it is not flexible enough.

I create record timer for the times I want the box to goto deep standby or standby/wakeup and chose the corresponding action for after event. For instance make a recording at 1am on ZDF HD for 1 minute and then go to deep standby after the recording. Now save timer. Edit timer and change it to zap timer. Repeat this for all schedules you need.

I think in the open web interface you can create a zap timer with after event in one go.

@wanwizard,

the box is not needed for around 16-18hours a day but uses around 20W/hour which means around 2KWh/week which is >€25/year/box. And it is not only the money it is also for the enviroment.

ciao

And that's the reason many images have easy-to-use sleep/wake timers to do exactly that.

But your work-around also works.

No plugin required... Everything is standard in Openpli... Inactivity timer with two acception frames per day and a timer when the box goes to deepstandby when it is in standby for x time...

No electroplugin is needed... No powerplugin integration in the image needed...

And it is very easy to configure....

Menu->last Option->First option...

But no wake-up timer.

Of course there is a simple work-around for that, but a wake-up (to standby) timer is cleaner.

To wake up the box is the simple explanation :)

As most boxes don't have WoL, or WoL can't be used, it's handy to have the box awake around the time someone in the household wants to make (remote) use of the box.

I made a new option for the PLi image.

In short, this is an analogue plugin "Elektro Power Save".

[SleepTimerEdit] add new option 'Power off timer'

But we have a disagreement.
Please discuss my idea.
