Did you install any softcam? OpenPli comes without any softcam preinstalled.... Goto MENU-APPLICATIONS. Press green and browse to Softcam option and install softcam of your choosing...

I often experienced this that no ipaddress is given on the screen. So you have to check whether the box still has the original ipaddress or use a tool which scans your network for present hardware. There you'll find the 500HD. I often use the Fing app on my iPhone to do this.

If you get no IP displayed make sure the LAN cable is connected properly to your router.. It may be handy to show which version of the DM500HD you own... The V1 which is supported by OpenPli and has bootloader #84, the V2 is NOT supported by OpenPli and has bootloader #88 or #89.. This info is shown on the TV screen.
If the cable is OK and the IP address is not shown, simply use DCC-E2 and use the search function to obtain the used IP address.
Flashing is not an automated option! Once you put the DM500HD in *stop* mode (that's what is called) you need to start the flashing procedure yourself with a browser. You do so by entering the found IP in the browser's web address. For instance: http://192.168.178.29 and press <enter>.
