I want to try to add something to the screensave. E.g. screensaver for 5,10,15.. minutes (or direct and disabled) to put the TV in standby via HDMI-CEC, but keep the surround set ON...

Now I have the following issue. When I set the TV to OFF via HDMI-CEC... the TV does not responde...

I have HDMI cable looped through the surround set and the surround set is conencted to the TV... It sounds like the surround set does not forward the standby command to the TV (LG).

Does someone has any idea how I can put the TV in standby, while the surround set stayed on?

Is the TV configured to act on a HDMI-CEC standby request?

Since HDMI-CEC is a bus, it is highly unlikely that the surround set blocks the request.

Is the TV configured to act on a HDMI-CEC standby request? -> Yes... the surround set can turn it OFF...

Since HDMI-CEC is a bus, it is highly unlikely that the surround set blocks the request. -> That is something I'm scared off...

Now when I listen to the radio my TV must be ON for ever :(

LG TV's have an issue with HDMI-CEC. The current implementation in E2 does not properly work for LG - especially the OFF signals.

Even if you directly connect your LG TV to your enigma2 box - it will not properly act.

There is no problem with wakeup commands.

If you're scared of blocked cec-requests you should visit a psychiatrist ;).

When I listen to music, I turn my tv off manually.

Instead of sending the standby command to the tv, sending a "press the power button"-command might work.

Or use a Harmony R/C and make an activity "radio" without the TV.

If you need the TV for choosing a radio service you can first go to the activity 'TV', choose the service, and go to the activity 'Radio'. When correctly configured, the STB & Amp remain on, and the TV goes asleep.

No HDMI-CEC required at all.

That does not help.... inactivity feature will leave the TV and surround set on that way.... ;)

If you're scared of blocked cec-requests you should visit a psychiatrist  ;).-> In US English this is not that dramatic.... ;)

If that was a reply on my reply: I can assure you that this does work. Perfect; I do it that way for years.

You mean 'afraid', not 'scared'. Being scared for the blocked request is very serious :)

->

Is technically not possible that when your receive wants to put the TV in standby.... the Harmony remote will arange that...As simply you do not press a button on your Harmony...

->

And this is indeed serious... ;)

I had the same problem with samsung led tv. It worked with my old samsung led 55", but not with my new.. I think my new dosent have CEC....?

The solutiion was to program my vu+ remote (TV power button on the upper left) to turn off tv.
I also enabled the volume up/down from VU+ remote to control volume on surround system via CEC in the image on my VU+

It works like a charm  :D
