Hi.

 

I have problems to watch iptv on my old DM7025 with OpenPli 2.1.

 

I run the script iptv.sh and got the updated bouquet and the new userbouquet.iptv.tv.

The keyword here is probably "old"...

My recommendation is that you start using OpenPLiimage which supports IPTV (mpeg-ts streams) on these receivers:
1. All Dreambox models supporting Enigma 2
2. All Xtrend/ClarkeTech models
3. All VU+ models

IPTV is just a video stream, and in general, video streams are supported.

 

But it greatly depends on the type of stream, and the codexs used. Unlike a PC, an STB can't use software codecs, so you are limited to what the hardware, the drivers, and the gstreamer version installed can support. Which isn't very much on a DM7025.

 

For starters, most streams out there are in MPEG4 (or a derivative), which is not supported by the old SoC of the DM7025. You need an HD box to get support for those streams.

Thanks for your answer.

I checked with VLC what codecs the streams are using and most of them are mpeg4 as you told me.

 

So, no IPTV for that box.
