I'll leave it up to you, I'm still a novice when it comes to this low-level stuff. ;)

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Try those compiled with new OE.

I installed both in the attatachment via dcc295 ipk install, but I do not recognize usb wifi TL-WN822N EU ver: 4.0.

is any another solution for this usb wifi model.

I use OpenPLi 4.0.

thanks

I found this: https://github.com/j...3efdb36eff1416d

So we could add a patch to provide support for it? I see this driver has an entire list of supported devices, the standard driver in OE doesn't list any of those...

Source repo seems to be https://github.com/M...eu-linux-driver

I've just seen we use that repo to build the RTL8192EU driver, so that probably supports your stick.

Working on it. Or should I say fighting with it. ;)

@Kermith

The TL-WN772N stick works with the rtl8192eu driver, and that works well.  The TL-WN772N-v2 stick needs the rtl8188eu driver, and that doesn't support the stick. This is the problem with these cheap sticks, manufacturers swap chipsets whenever they feel like it.

Second problem is that these are kernel drivers, so their version is linked to the version of the kernel. The box manufacturer dictates the kernel to be used. In case of the VuZero, that is 3.13.5, a kernel from 2014. So it's drivers don't support any chipsets introduced after that date.

So top tip for anyone: check first what your box supports, then buy a stick. Saves you a lot of hassle and money.

Or, and I keep repeating myself here, just buy a wireless bridge, will work for sure.

I would only use a wireless bridge, https://wiki.openpli...Wireless_Bridge

The TP-Link TL-WN823N (v2) wireless USB you mention has a Realtek RTL8192EU chipset!

I would never use a Realtek NIC

I doubt that is going to happen on an old kernel like that. Ask VU+ to update the kernel to a version that includes the mt7610 driver.
