There is a post by mx3L which describes how to build PLi with kodi.
It comes down to switching the meta-vuplus bsp layer (for the gles drivers) and adding some .bb recipes for kodi.. very easy.

Would be nice if vu offers it into th bsp layer then ;)

For enigma2 only those insliding and uitfasing menu's does not have real added value... (It only slows you down and it feels irritating)

Yeah that would nice indeed.
It's not that big of a change in the bsp.
Maybe you can ask them to switch to the dvbproxy drivers for their supported models.
Then we can push the kodi recipes and add them to the feeds.
It would make lots of vu+ users happy as it seems there's big demand for it.

There's a massive demand for it and this is one of the main reasons I'm unwilling to switch from your experimental builds MastaG, even though they are no longer supported and being updated.

For pli5 we currently use clones of the nap layers, but stil basically it is vu's responsibility to put it in their bsp. So please send them emails etc...

And again we're waiting on Vu. But maybe or-a did the job for then so there are no needs to nicely keep a bsp updated :(

yes littlesat,

I believe oe-a updates most (if not all) all vendor bsp's themselfs.

They're all locally uploaded and updated.. looks like a lot work if you ask me.

But you are master of it and you can hack around with it. For OpenPli 5 we have currently also clones as the manufacturers did withhold the development of it. It seems a good structural idee is killed by the unpatience of a part of the community

Very well spoken.

I'd also prefer the manufacturer to update the bsp for us, the more QA from them, the better it's for us.

Especially when it comes down to new features it'd be better if they'd add it, instead of impatiently adding it ourselfs.
