Hello,

I saw on some shops that one could buy the ET10000 with four DVB-C cards but it come with only one small TV cable.

Is there a loop inside or should one use four cables to loop the signal ?

Thank you very much.

You need 4 cables, be sure you have 3x DVB-C and in the 4th slot a DVB-C/T otherwise it won't work!

Thank you very much for your answer !

Oouch... so they sell non working configuration : that's a shame :-(

Or is it only a software problem which could be fixed ?

Tuner A: TDA10024 (DVB-C) Tuner B: TDA10024 (DVB-C) Tuner C: TDA10024 (DVB-C) Tuner D: TDA18273 (DVB-C)

This are my tuners according the webif, Tuner D is a C/T tuner, in the tuner setup menu you can choose the mode you want C or T

I dont think there is any need to put in 4 C/T's they are more expensive, i would choose the 3 C 1 C/T setup :)

The store in my country has the four DVB_C_T2 Samsung rev 0.95 DNOS44CPP101A 131224 UBCH  and ONE cable passthrough for the lowest price I can find of any combination but I don't know if the four will works ?

I can't find any 3C+1C/T but the price for the above seems really nice, the price for 4C/T2 is a lot more.

Also I can't find small (smallest I find is 0.75m) coaxial cable anywhere, any idea ?

Thanks.

The correct name would be: DVB_C_T2 Samsung rev 0.95 DNQS44CPP101A 131224 UBCH which is a regular DVB-C Tuner (TDA 10024). All cable tuners have this stupid name DVB_C_T2. The important part is the ending: 101A for cable, IDA3 for sat and 108A for DVB-C/T.

I have a DVB-C/T tuner called like this: DNOQ44SSH108A 14 06 03 GACH which identifies as Si2169.

If your store really sells this box with 4 DVB-C tuners you should kick their asses, the box won't work with this setup, you have to take one out, with 3 it will work fine. I once saw an ad on Ebay with the same text and asked them about it, they replied that they would of course ship it with 3 cable and one hybrid tuner.

The coax cables shouldn't be the biggest problem but without them it won't work, of course. Although I would expect a decent shop to deliver this box with the necessary loop-through cables for this setup.

Don't use loop through with these cable tuners to avoid problems with the signal.

Split the signal with a special provided 1 to 4 splitter of your cable company and connect each cabletuner separately.

Use Hirschmann TIF75 female terminating resistors for the pass-through ends of the tuners to avoid 4G problems.

The store can replace one of the four with one 106A which seems to be DVB-C/T2, do you think that would work ?

Thank you very much, I am a little close to buy it, then the splitter :-)
