The Synology has been in use now for 3 years, and yesterday one of the drives died on me with a big bang.

(We did not know where the sound came from.  But after that the NAS was beeping)

Investigation showed that one of the drives had died.

Ordered a  drive (8TB), which should be delivered today.

Let us know how it goes with the pine64.

Any suggestions for a low power display, larger than 15", with HDMI, for 24/7 use? I need something to put a monitoring dashboard on.

I would advise against using zfs on linux, it is imho simply not stable enough.

Sharp I missed that, but reading it I am not fond of the offered solution (plugin), my personal experience that it is not stable on a Linux distro
