which is the best image to run this plugin smoothly on DM800? Please guide.

It worked ok on a dm500hd  and dm820 with dream official images.

You need to install plugin Vlcplayer in your box and vlc mediaplayer on your computer - and make them work together..

 

Do you know how to do this ?

When you setup vlc on computer - select the toggle button (see attached pic).

Hello, I tried several entries of the "Servers (updated daily)" source.

When a stream is played correcty (with the first "Play" method), it always freezes after one minute or less.

Is it due to the source ? A bad connection ? A wrong configuration or bug in this plugin (it run with OpenPli 2016-11-13 on a DM8000) ?

Most of these links are ended .ts but are actually .m3u8. The first Play method uses gstreamer normal method for .ts or .m3u8. This method does not work well with fragmented (broken) streams. The next Play uses hlsplayer which I have patched to play such streams. It is better but not perfect.

 

Also many of these server links are unstable. Nothing to do with the plugin itself.

New version attached.

Setup vlc on computer for 'Play with vlc' option :

1. Download and install vlc 2.2.4 (.exe) from :-

http://download.vide...olan/vlc/2.2.4/

2. Start vlc. Do :

Tools -> Preferences -> All -> Interface -> Main Interface -> Select 'Web'

3. Next do :

Main Interface -> Lua -> Insert Password "Admin" (without quotes "")

4. Select Save.
