Voor de channellist/zenderlijst zijn er een aantal opties mogelijk, zoals Picons in de zenderlijst. "Show Picons in channel selection list".

But maybe it can be useful for people who are creating his own channellist with an editor?

Editors indicate clearly which services are SD/HD/UHD.

This is not possible to do it properly as there is no place reserved for this in lamedb...
Basically it is very simple to add... but it all depends on how the data is entered.. (settings editors needs to addapt etc...).

It could also be automatically adjusted by the actual resolution while zapping... So once zap along a HD or UHD channel the icon becomes available when it is (U)HD when it is freshly scanned...

And we could consider to offer 2 bits for this... Approx what I did for the hide VBI lines per channel...

00 SD 4/3
01 SD 16/9
10 HD
11 UHD

please note that 4/3 and 16/9 for SD could be alternating... so just indicate HD and UHD could be enough...

00 SD -> show no icon
01 HD -> show HD icon
10 UHD -> show UHD icon
11 (future use)

See how I did made the encrypted/non encrypted stuff in the channel list a few years ago... it could be coded approx the same way.

Then how come settings editors do show that?

Absolutely not name related. Many services don't have SD/HD/UHD in the name.
I just checked a lot of services in SetEditDream, EC & Dreamset and the resolution indicators were all correct.

Wierd as lamedb does not support it... It could be they are using 25 or so instread on 1 for service type... An editor can handle this, but when you scan it is incorrect and it can also create duplicates when you scan after you loaded settings via an editor... Please understand this is really nasty...

Het type zender kan je ook aan de Service Reference zien.
Maar is nog niet bij alle providers correct.

Enkele voorbeelden:
---------------------------------
NPO1 HD
1:0:19:5225:C99:3:EB0000:0:0:0:
19 = Type 25 = HD/MPEG4
---------------------------------
SBS9
1:0:16:51D1:C96:3:EB0000:0:0:0:
16 = Type 22 = SD/MPEG4
---------------------------------
Fashion 4K
1:0:1F:30DE:413:1:C00000:0:0:0:
1F = Type 31 = UHD/HEVC/H.265
---------------------------------
kabel eins
1:0:1:445E:453:1:C00000:0:0:0:
1 = Type 1 = SD/MPEG2
---------------------------------
NPO Radio1
1:0:2:517C:C8B:3:EB0000:0:0:0:
2 = Type 2 (radio)
---------------------------------

...

But that service type field is used not concequent by the providers... So it could considered to be used as "basic" or " default" value to fill additional bits and then during zapping overrule it with the real value coming back from the actual resolution...

But that applies to many items; many providers don't take the DVB-standards (http://www.etsi.org/...468v011501p.pdf) for real.
