Hi, I don't understand the mechanism with which service refs in enigma2 are linked to channel ids in rytec files:

For example: the reference 4097:0:1:10:1:888:0:0:0:0: could be linked with mtv.uk, but how? where is this correlation defined?

These are IPTV channels.  The process is written here:

and:

I have tested the arbitrary IPTV reference but it doesn't work for me.

Here is my channels.xml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<channels>
<channel id="xxx.ufo">1:0:1:1000:1000:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//example.com</channel>
</channels>

if I don't use the http%3a//example.com part, xmlimporter states that xxx.ufo channel is unknown while parsing descriptions. If I add http%3a//example.com then the xmlimporter is stuck forever.

This is the import.log:

[EPGImport] autostart (0) occured at 1478422468.33
[EPGImport] autostart (0) occured at 1478422468.51
[EPGImport] WakeUpTime now set to 1478494800 (now=1478422468)
[EPGImport] onBootStartCheck
[EPGImport] now=1478422468 wake=1478494800 wake-now=72332
[EPGImport] is boot
[EPGImport] starting import because auto-run on boot is enabled
[EPGImport] nextImport, source= test XMLTV
[EPGImport] Downloading: http://192.168.1.3/xmltv.xml.gz to local path: /tmp/epgimport.gz
[EPGImport] afterDownload /tmp/epgimport.gz
[EPGImport] unlink /tmp/epgimport.gz
[EPGImport] afterChannelDownload None
[EPGImport] Using twisted thread

.. after this nothing happens, no event parsing.

So I'm afraid that reference must be present in lamedb, otherwise the channel will not be recognized.

Ok, the event has been imported successfully but there is no EPG under channel guide.

Can you show me the XMLTV file and the epgimport config files you use to import this.

If you prefer you can send them via a PM.

Also the entry for this channel in your bouquetfile
