Excuse me for asking.

I'm reading up on dvb-s2 multi stream technology.

But can anybody give me a real use-case for people who'd like to use this feature on their open enigma2 receivers?

e.g. Is there some television broadcast provider who uses this technology or something?

Some Italian channels are broadcast FTA on 5W in PLS/MIS. (Something like PLP for DVB-T2)

It seems still in outroll and the transponders value change often the last weeks.

The new silabs tuner (which many company will use in th future) should been capable to do PLS/MIS.

Hi,

I have a question regarding Uno 4K SE.

It has a pluggable tuner. Is there a prospect of DVB-S2X tuner coming soon so that I could replace the tuner in the future in order to support multistream?

I have no information on whether a FBC pluggable tuner will be released that can receive PLS transponders.

According to the German VTi-forum, which is always well informed, that will indeed the case. The original plan was to introduce these tuners in the UNO 4kSE, but as they were not ready they will become available as update (for all VU's that can handle a plugable FBC-tuner).

In the meantime one has to be careful; many webshops offer the UNO 4kSE WITH the new FBC-tuner, while that is not yet the case.

BTW: VU's repos has been absolutely silent for a month; that's usually a sign of 'something' new being worked on.
