Hi everybody!

I've got very strange problem with my satellite receiver (DM500HD).

Description on some russian channels (cyrillic I guess) is not recognized. But others are just fine. See attached. Any solutions?

There exist a file on the box that can change the character set per transponder...

WaveFrontier 28.2E | 23.5E | 19.2E | 16E | 13E | 10/9E | 7E | 5E | 1W | 4/5W | 15W

Question is where this EPG came from?  Is it EIT EPG coming from the sender or Rytec EPG imported from the internet?

When set this in encoding.conf

# 0x00c 0x1 #Thor 0.8°W

problem solved.

What now?

I have found encoding.conf file in 0:/usr/share/enigma2/ folder (attached, changed extension from config to txt).

Can you please provide me with exact instruction how to edit this file and what to add to it.

This so called EPG came from Horizons 2/Intelsat 15 (85.0E), 12160 H, tp 12K, DVB-S, SR 28800, FEC 3/4.

What is the source of the data?

I see it sometimes as well, weirdly yesterday on the UK's channel 4, the HD channel had the correct description, the SD channel had HTML entities in the description.

Data received OTA is stored as-is, so it is a problem on the side of the provider.

Seen that, we're waiting until the code is finalized.
