Yes, VU does, as I explained. Only there is no backup battery, so the clock doesn't survive a powercut.

So it isn't an RTC ;)

I don't read PM -> if you have something to ask or to report, do it in the forum so others can benefit. I don't take freelance jobs.
Ik lees geen PM -> als je iets te vragen of te melden hebt, doe het op het forum, zodat anderen er ook wat aan hebben.

OK, your VU's don't have a RTC, mine do.

And it's nice using that.

An RTC is always battery backed up. If not, it is just a simple counter circuit.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Whatever you name it; I'm a happy user of VU's RTC's :)

Never any timer issues ((boot)log's have the correct time-related name, E2 has the correct time when no external time is available), so what more would I want. Yeah, OK, no powercuts....

But if you have a better name for it, I'll use that in future.

My DM8000 constantly is 4 minutes ahead. Just flashed with latest version, and still the clock is 4 minutes ahead.

there is no battery inside, could be a supercap for buffering, like this

I don't have to look inside: after a powercut the time is lost. So there is no power backup in any form.

Wow, overlocked the "complete power down". But now the clock is sync again. Thanks.
