Hi Every-body.

I have some difficultu with a usb wifi dongle : FRITZ!WLAN Stick AC 860 from vexson.

I can not see the wifi on network configuration, only the wired is visible.

With dmesg i see :

[ 1918.675000] usb 1-1: USB disconnect, device number 4
[ 1928.582000] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 5 using ehci-brcm

With lsusb :

Bus 001 Device 005: ID 148f:5370
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001

I guess i have to install some driver or somthing else but i dont know wich one to use and i dont find ipk for this dongle.

If someone have an idea ?

Thanks a lot

(Excuse me for my poor english; i do my best )

Best regards.

That looks like an RaLink RT5370 chipset. Maybe one of the more technical people might now if we have a driver for it.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I have fixed the problem :

with telnet :

ipkg install kernel-module-carl9170
ipkg install kernel-module-rt2800usb
ipkg install kernel-module-rt73usb
ipkg install kernel-module-zd1211rw

I suppoe only one of theses package is necessary for my dongle but i have chosse to install all.

I think kernel-module-rt2800usb is the one you need.

If you can do a scan, that means the box has detected and initialized the interface. No idea why a scan wouldn't show anything.

I think too, on network configuration pannel on the wireless networks i can see rtl2800 device.

i have try

opkg remove kernel-module-carl9170
opkg remove kernel-module-rt73usb
opkg remove kernel-module-zd1211rw

but same issue

I will try to restart from a clean flash and only install the kernel-module-rt2800usb

i'll give you a feedback when it will be done.
