* The Episode/Season Feature I created because I wanted to have this information from the EPG description to be transferred to the Titel of the event

 

More people want this.  However it is akward to provide for.  It requires post grabbing modification.

It is a long story why this is not possible for most channels during grabbing. In short it has to do with this information not being available on the index page, but only in the detail pages of websites.

If only those IPTV provider would solve their own problems.  That would really help.

 

EPG for IPTV has 2 things which have to be fullfilled:

1.  An unique service ref

2. A link of this service ref to the correct EPG.

 

Since both are out of my control for providing EPG,  The "provider" should really provide these.  And maintain them.

Application I mentioned creates reference ids automatically but I do not know what it takes into account when making these ids. It works quite good, I havent noticed any overlapping of EPG with my other cable or sat channels.

 

I will try your plugin gutemine. Although your original reply could be nicer. If something is not completely free, it doesnt mean I cannot mention it here. I know that some users are angry because they are used to boquet editors being free to use (dreambox edit, dreamset, etc)...

I cannot comment on the use of e-channelizer for use of providing the EPG, because of me not having any IPTV bouquets from these providers.

Also other utilities cannot be commented on.

@doglover - there is no real need to do any epoisode/season extracion during grabbing, the code to look for such strings in EPG and then manipulate the title before loading it to e2 is pretty simple (and I even didn't optimize it, because I just copied it from OpenEPG Plugin which does that since years). There was a reason why I decided to write EPGLoad from scratch, now I can implement whatever I want.

 

@Taykun* - I'm sorry but I will simply NOT reply nicely if somebody suggests people to pay for something which is also available free.

Come on, when loading huge epg.dat Files during Booting slows down the whole process, or old machines with Limited memory, it is still a usefull setting, which should be also applied when loading epg from external resources when an Image decided to have it.

And that was exactly the reason why IT was wrapped also in this Plugin to avoid the Need to Change IT at different places.

Why do you need tons of epg in the first place... so it is work a round to limit the days... better limit the services it collected!!!!! Or arrange that it is not fully stored in RAM... when you want epg for channels you even don’t watch.... personally I never get it to the limit here....
But actually when an image does not have a config a plugin can fallback to a default....

This is the simple reason why I walked away from EPGImport ... and your image ...

Not really.  DAZN is an IPTV provider with several channels at the same time.

Some of the broadcasts are given on the DAZN Bar channels.  But no schedule for these are published.

ok I am littlebit further

with E-Channelizer I am able to map the channels

for this example I use nl on 23.5

 

about half the channels epg are working

 

if I look at the channels I see all channels epg mapped on "23.5" are working

all mapped epg channels most on "cable" and a few on other satelites are not working (ps I don't have cable only sat 23.5)

 

so I guess I need to add the service refs from cable? I think in satellits.xml?

No you have to add the channels in lamedb.

It is a bit tricky to do, but can be done with Dreamset.

 

If this are Dutch channels, download the Hans cable list:  https://forums.openp...t-reageren-aub/

If something else you have to find a cable list for the provider.

 

Unzip it to a folder on your PC.  Open this channel list in Dreamset.

You can delete all the bouquets.

 

Make a new bouquet. and add to this all the channels from the left pane.

Save the download to a empty folder on the PC.  Important, to be able to proceed. Use File - Save As

After you finished you can delete this folder.

Select all Channels appearing in the only TV bouquet.
Do this by pressing CRTL+A.

 

Press now CTRL+C to copy all channel to the clipboard.

Open a second instance of dreamset.
And obtain the bouquets form your receiver by choosing Transfer - Read/Write settings.

(You may have to configure this)

 

Press Read and wait until the transfer is finished.

 

Select an empty bouquet .  Last scanned is a good choice.  Or create a new one.  Select the empty bouquet.

Press CRTL+V now to to paste the channels you selected earlier.

 

You can transfer now the setting list back to your receiver via Transfer - Read/Write - Write.

This will have all these channels in the Last scanned bouquet.
If you do not want this, clear the last Scanned bouquet before tranferring the file to your receiver.

Your lamedb has now the service refernce included for the satellites you selected.

It seems to be currently unavailable on Rytec EPG.
The channel is available on IPLA and WP Pilot (Polish IPTV and VoD platforms) and several Polish cable TV providers (source).
